What is your favourite memory during this pandemic?

i havent made many memories but im glad ive had my boyfriend during this whole pandemic, without him honestly idk where i'd be.
also playing acnh has really helped me throughout it as well, i love playing w my bf too and teaching him abt it since he's never played an ac game in his life lol

I think my most favorite memory is bonding through games with family and friends, whether it's animal crossing or other multiplayer games. Since we can't see each other in person we have game nights that have helped keep us sane. I really grew to appreciate games even more during the pandemic. Some people will say things like "it's just a game" when talking about games but I feel that games can be much more than just something to do when you're bored. Multiplayer games can really help bring people together and bond.

Back when school was first cancelled, when I was so happy to have a break and would have lazy days of riding my bike and gardening and playing animal crossing

While I do not want to think about the pandemic so much, it still produced some positives for me.

1. Going on a car stroll with my dad when things were being locked down. The roads were spacious and you didn't have to deal with reckless drivers frequently!

2. Buying Animal Crossing New Horizons from Best Buy on release day with my own money. I remember reserving it online just in case there were no more copies by the time I went there. I spent at least a couple of hours playing it and taking screenshots. My sister started playing and eventually did two player mode.

3. Finishing my college course and graduating. There wasn't a ceremony, but I didn't mind not having one at all.

4. During the summer when cases fell down below triple digits, me and my family would go to a park (distanced from other people of course) and play badminton with each other. It got a little competitive, but I had fun and got some exercise which felt really good.

5. Making my first ever animation. It took me a month to finish it after doing rough sketches, planning out the timing, doing the outlines, and colouring. The animation only lasted around seven seconds, but I was still happy with the final product!

My favorite memories would have to be last summer when I had a lot of time to relax and do stuff that I that I've always been interested in within the limits of my house and never really got around to doing before like messing around with computers and stuff like that.

The first two weeks of the stay at home order when we all thought it would be a fun temporary vacation. Those are my last positive memories.

Before I moved to college, I used my mom's car to drive all over the place. Mostly to get away from the environment - but I would drive for hours on end, just checking out what there was to offer. So I guess that was a nice memory.

Every time I actual have a legit excuse to turn down stupid family dinners and stuff cause *some* think still it's a good idea like yeah sure have fun w/ viruses lol.

While I had tons of negative things happening, I also have some that I'm really happy about!

- Finished a lot of games to 100%, something I wanted to start doing since a long time
- I've got my driving license
- We really went forward in renovating our house
- I found out that I'm pregnant

Accidentally making new online friends. This is not something that happens to me often, especially not ones I would talk to everyday. But here I am now with a few I met last year.

I can't say the last year has produced anything memorable for me other than realising how much TV and films have helped saved my sanity and given me something to look forward to as well as some great moments of escapism.

just before the first lockdown last year i took a spontaneous day trip with a very close friend and i will not forget it

Therecwas a brief period of time at the beginning of the pandemic when people stayed at home and the world was QUIET for once.

My greatest memories are a few social distance walks I took with people last May or so, playing AC when it first came out, finally going to a restaurant yesterday, and just saving tons of money. I already have about $4,000 more than I started 2021 with.

My husband has been working from home since the pandemic, and it's been fantastic to have him around all the time.

My most favorite memory during this pandemic definitely has to be the Tampa Bay Lightning winning the Stanley Cup. It definitely sucked when all sports were shut down (though it was 100% understandable), so to have hockey come back was wonderful and served as a good distraction to the ongoing pandemic. Then to be able to watch the Bolts run to the Cup during August/September was simply amazing, still a really fun (and stress-filled) time that I'll cherish and look back on fondly forever.

Just behind that would be finally finishing my backlog on December 22. It was something I had been working at for a year and a half, so I was ecstatic when I had finally beaten the last game on that backlog and accomplished what I set out to do.

As someone who even pre-pandemic worked from home, I actually find things noisier. During weekdays when people were at work and school it was always SO QUIET in my neighborhood. It was wonderful. Now you hear the sawing and drilling noises of home improvement projects, kids outside screaming and playing, people talking loudly in their yards, etc 7 days a week.

It's not just me noticing that either. The skittish song birds in the area normally would hang around my yard Monday-Friday and kinda hide in the woods on weekends because of people and noise scaring them. But now it's a lot more rare to see them any day of the week. :(

Probably the best memories during this pandemic is the ones with my family, since I'm lucky enough to be in quarantine with them during this time. Gathering around the TV and watching episodes of "I Shouldn't Be Alive" and "Schitt's Creek", which was fun. Gardening with my mom. Joking around with my sister. They kept me sane during all of this.
