If you search up "speed test" on Google, you can test your Internet speed. Mine... is on the super unfortunate side. Sigh. I only have a max speed of 5 mbps. It's gonna get better hopefully next month though! I hope! :'D
Now let's see how good or bad everyone else's Internet is compared to mine lmao. I bet on my whole life that everyone's Internet speed is better than mine. XD
We just upgraded a few months ago and it was cheaper than our old plan. One of the advantages of being in a city is that you have choices between ISPs.
My parents are... not the best internet providers. It's much better at my dorm -- once I'm done visiting, I'm interested to see what my dorm's speeds are.
I get like different stuff all the time, but it's like 1/4 of its supposed speed, but then we have a real crap provider since we have to use the one for the apartment association lol
Mines about 90-100 mbps download and 20-30 mbps upload. I tthought this was really good until I looked at everyone's elses xD Although this is the best my internet has ever been, considering our network infrastructure is subpar here.
During very late times when everyone’s asleep, it’s around 10-15 mbps download. I used to think that was already really fast, but after seeing the numbers here I‘m now very sad LOL.
During the day, or when it rains, it’s around 0.5 mbps :’)
(generally the ISPs in my country are total **** lmao)
Way too slow for what I pay for it. My ISP has promised fibre optic lines for about 5 years now? The best part is their site says I'm in a 'compatible' area for a fibre optic line.. which doesn't even exist in my area yet.
I get 'up to' 10MB/s download, which frequently drops to below 1MB/s every so often for any where from a few minutes to up to an hour. I get 'up to' 1MB/s upload, though it is consistently around 0.75MB/s. Oh, yeah... I forgot to mention: my ISP throttles connection speeds. A lot. I have to call them pretty much weekly to basically tell them to knock it off, I know what they are doing. At least the router they provide has a fantastic WiFi signal, so I guess there's that.
This is pretty much my only option, as the other option provides strictly WiFi-based connection via satellite dish.. in an area with extremely poor satellite reception, especially in the Winter months.
About 110mbps down/10mbps up with my cable internet. My neighborhood has fiber, but I don't want to pay for the stupid installation fees that are kinda high. The installation would also require them to dig up part of my yard, to go from the utility box by the street to my physical house. I just got my lawn looking really good this year. I don't need to wreck it. My speed is plenty good.
I had 1Gbps fiber when living in Japan for a few years, and that got me similar insane speeds that a few people up at top mention. That was really nice! Gigabit fiber was cheaper in Japan than it is here in the US though.
