What New Collectibles Do You Want to See?

With every new AC game, there always seems to be new things to collect and checklists to fill. Furniture sets, museum pieces, badges... half the fun of these games seems to be fulfilling your secret pack-rat fantasies of collecting everything in sight. The question I have is, what new types of collectibles do you want to see in the next AC game?

Speaking for myself, I wouldn't mind some new flower varieties. While the selection we have now is nice, I feel like there's still potential for more varieties, which in turn would give us more decoration options for our villages. What might make this more engaging is if there was a encyclopedia for flower hybrids that marks which parent flowers produce colored offspring. I'd also like to see some new museum pieces. Maybe you can dig up historical artifacts around town or in a special location, and can choose to display them in your home or donate to the museum? What are your guys' thoughts?

You know what would be cool? Special 'old' furniture you can get through Gulliver, or special sales at Nook or Red. Like say, an old coin, or a pirate ship wrack. Something between fossils and art. Would make a cool museum room I think. Or K.K. songs! Bring K.K. back to the museum please, I really dislike the club LOL.

I would love to see an upgrade of the badges. I liked them, but I also did not love it. They could approve it by making it more clear what badges you can get. Because if you don't look it up, you have no idea what you get a badge for.

^Yes, that would be the perfect addition to the museum! It isn't a new collectible but I would love to be able to store them there. I guess we would need a new way to find them though instead of just waiting for rainy days.

something like mem cakes from splatoon 2 would be cute but as animal crossing characters and items. you could collect them as surprise fishing catches or digging them up rarely

with Celeste and her observatory (if they would bring it back, which I really hope they do), a
exhibit which is all about space? Like parts of meteorites for example, which you can find in
your town sometimes, maybe around the time when there is the meteor shower. Or mysterious
pieces which could be parts of a spaceship (after all, Gulliver had a UFO back in the older games).

Ooh, I really like those ideas. The space debris idea is really interesting, but what if those could be used for some other purpose beyond the museum? For example, what if on random days late at night, an Alien "villager" would appear in your village needing replacement parts, and if you help them they mail you some special outer-space furniture the next day? Or what if you could use those alien parts to upgrade your golden tools, making them even more powerful as a sort of late-game mini-quest? After all, ancient civilizations made weapons and tools from meteorite iron all the time, so why not Animal Crossing?

Maybe we can get more ores and then those can be collectibles? Instead of ores it could be different types of rocks.

I want the collectibles to have better furniture items, pocket camp is a bit better for this, but the fish tanks should have decorations and stuff, and I think certain fish tanks should be bigger. since we have GIANT items now (like hhd items) I think some fish tanks could afford to be bigger. I wish the whale shark for example had a HUGE tank.

My ideal scenario though? after completing your museum blathers will say he's quite familiar with aquariums and for all your help he will give some blue prints to tom nook. This will give tom blueprints for large, pond, river and ocean tanks with different decoration types. Doing this will let tom convert any room other than the MAIN room in your home into a large aquarium. Think all space in the room bar the first two rows of squares occupied by tank for the ocean one, but maybe a neater large wall hugging tank for pond or river. You could then put your own catches in there! I think this would be nice because I don't see so many insects or fish used as furniture.... wasted opportunity imo! I mean I for sure would just fill the whole thing with goldfish but.... still wouldn't it be cute ! I want more fish tank type fish, like bettas or swordtails!

That's sounds pretty cool! I would really like it if the new game has something like this.
