What new feature are you most excited for in ACNH?

Hi guys!

I just joined this forum and cannot contain my excitement for ACNH. I played ACNL for a few years, but not to the extent that I had wanted to.
I'm very excited that there's a forum for people just like myself and people that are more well versed in the game and community that I can learn from!

That being said, what new feature is everyone most excited for?
I would love to hear your thoughts and also take this as an opportunity to learn more about the new upcoming features in the game!

I feel like the capabilities won't be as intensive as we all hope it to be.

Terraforming. It's a feature I've wanted for a very long time.


But, I'm looking forward to a few other things, namely:

- the new flowers
- Nook Miles Program achievements
- DIY crafting, really wanna see how far it goes

No, I don't. People will be upset that it doesn't do more than it will, but it's a significant addition to what is already - for the most part - a stellar series.

Personally, I won't be using it to its fullest potential. I'll do as many have suggested and create a private compound for my home somewhere in the corner of the map. But other than that, I'll be pretty much hands off with the Construction Permit.

Yes, that is what I am excited for as well.
Honestly, ACNL was such a great game, but the platform (3DS) is what I feel like made it limited. Even then, I think the game did a phenomenal job. I cannot wait for all the personalization (clothes, accessories), I feel like the possibilities are endless!

I just hope that there aren't any sort of paywalls later down the road, with expansion passes and stuff like that. Or limited items that can only be purchased As long as the game doesn't have microtransactions, I will be 200% happy!

Yes, the new flowers (with real visual differences) are going to be awesome!
And absolutely, having a feature that actually rewards our time in the game (also reminding us to get up once in awhile...LOL) is going to be super motivating to really grind out even more.

That's my biggest concern too. I'm trying to taper all my expectations for new features, because I don't want to be disappointed if it's not as extensive as I'd hope, but all new changes are holistically welcomed!

What I like the most is, that you can place the houses, shops and other buildings just like you want and create your island just like you want. This will make Animal Crossing even more entertaining as it was before. Finally, I can live with all my villager close by and especially with my most beloved villager side on side.

I always dreamed of this and I really can't wait for this game.
I'm so excited!!

Nook miles - although I played animal crossing regardless of incentives, it’s nice that they’ve brought this in to pace the game - where we have to earn nook miles to achieve certain aspects. For me it will make the game far more enjoyable to play if I know I have something to work towards.

Museum - it’s just so beautiful and I honestly cant wait to see it in all of its glory, they’ve really taken their time with this aspect of the game and it shows.

Terraforming - looking at the customisation that was available in NL alone makes me so excited to see the possibilities NH has in store! I really hope they bring back the dream suite or something along those lines because that was one of my favourite parts of the last game. I have some ideas of my own that I want to bring to life as well and it’ll be interesting to see how far we can go with it!

This game is just so beautiful and I love how alive the animals feel so I am excited for that.

The clothes. OMG they are so cute and for once dont just look like they are painted on your body. They actually look like clothes.

The crafting and placing furniture outside finally. Finally the outside furniture can go outside.

Of course terraforming.

I could keep going so i will just say everything. i am excited about everything.

I guess the ability to relocate a villager, and crafting a few items, landscaping, etc.

The personalization of the characters is actually my favorite thing. I know some people don’t like it as it’s not ~traditionally~ animal crossing, but everything is still AC stylized - just with more features available. I’m also a fan of the fact that you’ll be able to lay out actual paths rather than having to have a pattern for them.

The clothes, the new flowers, and the crafting is what I'm most excited for! There are also a few other things I'm excited for too, like the overall design of the game, which is just so beautiful. Really, everything in this game is getting me really excited for it to finally come out! I just can't wait and I'm literally trying to find things to do to keep me busy and so far, being here on TBT has helped me a lot.

Overall the new options for customization and control:
• terraforming
• relocating buildings
• choosing our villagers

I’m also excited about the ability to explore other islands, and happy that the villagers seem much livelier than before. Honestly, even the Nook Miles system is growing on me—getting some direction and sense of accomplishment can definitely prevent things from feeling stagnant or purposeless.
