just a simple question to pass the time haha

for those of you who may not be in the know, there seems to be a new "tool" in the shape of the kiki and lala magic wand from new leaf that appears to store up to 8 different outfits. it hasn't really been confirmed whether or not you can pick outfits to store in it, but it's fun to imagine that we can for the time being

i think i'll probably put in a raincoat outfit for rainy days, a pj set for those late night play sessions, a cute lil dress or swimsuit for the beach, a regular every day outfit, maybe a more fancy get up for visiting other's islands, a joke outfit with the glasses that have a big nose, and some costumes like the animal ones or the hero one. to be honest i'll probably change the outfits in the wand more than changing my actual outfit lol

I love making outfits in Animal Crossing. The first ones I would probably make would be:

1. an everyday outfit
2. pjs
3. tea party dress
4. raincoat
5. rotating seasonal appropriate variations
6. kimono
7. fancy party dress
8. some sort of fun outfit that lets me dress up like a cat or a bunny or just something fun

Honestly... I'm not sure. I generally always kept to one outfit and rarely changed it. Even if I did change it, I normally only changed the shirt.

i definitely agree with you here. the pants and shoes didn't seem to show up as much as the top/dress and head accessories in new leaf, but they definitely show up and matter more in acnh based on what we've seen so far. now that we have this wand to potentially store outfits, it wont take up as much inventory or storage space. with these improvements i'm more motivated to have different outfits to choose from, but since i don't have as much experience with outfit making and such in animal crossing im a bit lost haha

My issue was male characters didn't really have a lot of variety, or even choice, in New Leaf. I just found something that worked and I liked and stuck with it.

Hoping its different in New Horizons, but it appears to be the case so far.

i honestly have no clue - i’m not sure exactly how many clothes are in new horizons and i have the tendency to keep the same outfit on for a few months lol

Not sure but definitely a raincoat. I kept mine in my letters in new leaf because I would wear that with rain boots every time it rained. Also I changed my outfit every day or two so I’m very excited for this.

Questions like this are so hard to answer when the game isn't out and you don't know what clothes they got, ahaha. So I have no idea.

I can't wait to wave a wand and transform into a magical girl outfit

Nothing.
I'll wear the same thing if/when it becomes available.

Acid wash pants.
Can't get the Epona Outfit, so waistcoat instead.
Steel toed boots, and eerie wings if we get them.

a few everyday outfits to switch it up, an entire rain look (in ACNL i loved the yellow rain outfit), and maybe a lil animal costume!

1. sunny day outfit
2. rain outfit
3. chilly morning outfit
4. pajamas
5. fancy princess outfit
6. magical girl
7. swimsuit
8. another cute warm outfit

Honestly, I'll probably put in like 8 outfits that I want to use at the time and constantly switch.

On a related note - does anybody have any theories on how clothes are unlocked in NH? We have seen some items on display in Able Sisters and also the dressing room area which seems to have a large variety of items to choose from.

I?m curious if we get all of the clothes off the bat, a large selection every day or whether the dressing room was our whole inventory built up over time, that we have purchased previously but sold and would need to rebuy if we wanted to wear them...

I hope we don?t get all the clothes at the beginning. I?m curious how it works.

Definitely a rain coat! And a more relaxed outfit for when I just have to run an errand or something. And maybe a work attire? For when I'm watering plants, something with an apron maybe.
Other than that, I don't know yet!

didn't think about this until now but probably a few everyday outfits, definitely a rainy day outfit, something beachy maybe?, pajamas, and probably a warm outfit.

the clothing in new horizons is one the things i'm looking MOST forward too

Maybe via Nook Miles, or crafting.

I know you craft clothes in PC.
