Normal I guess; I didn’t know there were other speeds. I don’t use youtube a lot either. I don’t watch the whole video either and just skip to what interests me by moving the slider up a bit at a time.
Depends on the video and the occasion, but I usually like to speed it up. Sometimes I am too lazy to hit the play back button then speed button tho, so I just press the right arrow key to skip in increments of 10 seconds lmao.
Overall I don't watch YouTube that often anymore because I have a really short attention span. Sometimes I'll click on a super click bait-y video and skip around to the part in the thumb nail, or become bored if I can't find it and click out with less than a minute of actual watch time. The only videos I sit down and watch are gaming strategies/highlights of current games I am playing (these are usually 30 mins long which I would watch at normal speed) or various story times from random youtubers that are 1hr+ long in which I always speed up to 1.5 speed (an example being "theamandafiles" or other similar small/random YouTubers I like). Sometimes I will also watch educational videos about various organisms in the ocean since I studied marine biology for a little bit in college and really like it, and watch those videos at normal speed since they are usually about 5 minutes long (such as videos from the channel "deep sea oddities").
I recently posted on another thread about how I'm really into watching livestreams on twitch and just wanted to clarify that what I really like about it is that I can be doing other things while watching the livestream, which is something I can't do while watching normal TV shows or movies since I have to concentrate on the movie to know what's going on (which I sometimes have a hard time with hence my short attention span). So basically I found that watching livestreams work really well for me right now.
Usually, I watch videos on normal speed. I may watch at faster speeds if I'm trying to get to the point of a video, or if I'm just trying to understand the gist of something, though. I'll also slow down a video if I'm trying to get a screenshot of something that happens quickly (but then I'll also mute the video if I'm doing that, because videos sound really strange slowed down, ahaha).
Once in a while I'll play around with the speed of a song, but typically only if someone recommends it first.
Normal speed most of the time, unless I'm interested in one of the comments saying "play at certain speed" then i might watch it at that speed. It usually is funny videos though since that's usually where I find them at haha
Normal speed, but I’ll skip through the videos if they’re not interesting. The only time I’ll change the speed is when I have to watch/listen to recorded lectures from my professors (most of them speak slowly)
i literally never watch yt videos at any other speeds except sometimes when i think a funny moment could be funnier slowed down or sped up.
i have adhd too, btw. well probably.
Who tattled... I cannot remember the last time I watched a video in normal speed. At this point, when I watch something I'm admittedly disappointed when I cannot speed it up. I think it started to happen when I had a lot of projects/homework years back, but still wanted to watch all the streams/videos I normally would, so I just sped them up. Nowadays it's time management and also because videos are usually drawn out due to how the algorithm rewards it.
It depends on what I'm watching and who's speaking/who's the narrator. Music I tend to watch at normal speeds (or slower/faster if I'm playing along with something on my instrument). If I'm watching a lecture I tend to speed it up. If someone is a slow speaker I speed it up usually to 1.75.
