What to know about a Hax

Ok, I've been playing with some people who have told me that they have hacked items, but none that they hacked them self. I keep hearing about people's games getting messed up by hacked stuff, so I was wondering what things will mess up your game (btw I'm not a hacker, I don't even know how to).

Here's a list of things I've done:

-Sold stuff and got money in return (said the money was from duplicating, idk what that is either).

-Weeded towns.

-Got a Rainbow feather which I don't know if it was hax, but the guy said it wasn't.

-I have NOT accepted any items that I know were hacked, but I have seen them.


I'm not too sure what can or can't effect my game in a bad way and just want to know what I should before buying or selling anything else. (btw I hope this doesn't offend anyone I've played with, I just want to know what I'm doing).

They can't affect your game. Trust me, I been testing codes like Banana Trees. (Trying to be a code designer.) But never NEVER sell items on the TBT that are hacked.

No the rainbow feather is an item you get from the Town Hall by saving 700,000,000 Bells.

hacked items DO NOT effect your game 99% of the time, only the lightsabers and shinyblue pikmin hats do that, and thats only when u sell them to Tom Nook, or something like that...

Lol. You name is purple now. Banana trees? But Hacks do NOT affect your game exept a Blue light saber, a red light saber, and a Shiny Blue Pikmin.

What if it's like a hacked foreign item? If person "x" gave me an ogre mask that he/she hacked into a diff region game? (hypothetically)

Yes, but you have to remember to adhere to the rules of the forums, and not give, sell or buy hacked items.

Hm... I've had 100 hacked items and my Wii works like new.
So they won't bust your Wii.

Oh, that I know. I'm too worried I'll mess up my Wii or game to even touch those items.

(This is definitely my my last Q. What if I enter someone's town and the have those things equipped? Would that mess my game up?) (This Q was written before i read the later comments)

Blue pikmin hat is a hack, plain and simple.
A badly done texture hack, but a hack none-the-less.

Red&Blue Lightsabres are cool you know but you know what is a stink about them?

Hackers making the game crash and getting the highest amount of money able in this game.
