Definitely natural. I?m thinking like a nature reserve with windy paths to hike down and hidden cottages.

In the direct they showed us the name ?Nintenland? towards the end in the FAQ section so you have at least 10 characters to play with for a town name!

I always wanted to make something like a Studio Ghibli or a Zelda themed town, but if I ever have the game I'd probably just end up going day by day. It's a shame that there's only one island per console, really disappointing for me

I’m going for a small town resort feel. I want my native fruit to be either oranges or pears. If I get oranges I’m going to make a

After seeing that we can terraform and shape our town however we want, I'm not sure what I want to do with my town.
I think I am going to visit different dream addresses and watch videos on different towns to get inspiration as to what I want to do!

this might sound a little generic (hope not though!), but the mushroom lights and zen lights we saw in the direct inspired me to aim for something mystical like from a fairytale (but without all the pastel pinks lol)??? i also want it to be able to look good during anyy season, at anytime of the day

I've already said one of my ideas in another thread which was to name my character Toto and my town Africa so that my town tune would be Toto's Africa. I would like to make the town flag the cover art for Toto IV, and I think it would be cool to have instruments hidden around the town aswell as having animal furniture to fit with the theme. Also to have a few references to the Wizard of Oz because the band was named after the dog from the film.
My second idea is to name my character Moomin and the town Valley, because I loved watching the 1991 series as a kid.
There will be enough character slots for me to do all the main characters and the fact we can now modify rivers and cliffs means that I could probably get pretty close to replicating the Valley.
I like both ideas, but I honestly don't know which one i'll pick.

as for the land layout, i think i would like one long river that goes from the north end of the map to the south that's mostly straight; and it could probably start as a tiny lake or something instead of be from ocean to ocean. then i want another waterfall that starts as a lake and ends as one too (i want it next to my house and i've yet to decide if i want it on the 2nd or 3rd layer). and then i want to have lil pond everywhere that are vaguely shaped like hearts or stars. i also want to have a lil canyon that leads to the north beach so i don't have to go around the cliffs every time; i thought earlier that maybe i could make a tiny private fairy forest in this area or something.
for the town itself i don't know yet if i want to live far away from my villagers or closer to them. in acn and accf i hated living near my villagers because their houses were kinda ugly/didn't match the actual player's house. but the houses we've seen look really nice and more realistic and cohesive; not too flashy but not too boring either. but i also want my house to be a mansion and it'll still look kind of out of place with the other villager houses. regardless if i live near them or not, i want to place my house near a lake/pond and make a lil flower farm with maybe one or two villagers nearby. i would like to have the villagers i'm not cycling live in a tiny neighborhood with their own gardens and front yards that match their personality and themes (character and house interior). the tiny neighborhood will be sort of close to the resident's center. the resident's center will be the divide between the neighborhood and the shops & park, so i would like to find a map with it in the center of the map. to the left of the neighborhood i'd like to have a more untamed forest or just another neighborhood with the villagers i let move out whenever they ask. i think i'll only make use of the southern beach because that makes the most sense to me, but i'll have lil decorated areas scattered throughout.

It's an island so I'm probably going to go with an island paradise theme. Lots of nature, lots of waterfalls, I want the tiers of the island to make sense but be in different areas. Maybe put some houses on their own slopes. A few pounds. It's going to be awesome haha.
I'm going to live on a volcanic mountain, and everyone else has to live in the lowlands. When I complete my doomsday device, the volcano will erupt, burying the villagers in the lava. Tom Nook and I will share the resultant spoils from the insurance payouts, and move on to the next island after a massive disinformation campaign to prevent any lawsuits or bad publicity.

I am also thinking of a kawaii pastel theme for my island. I'm looking at having a bakery and will likely make my own custom Kawaii Brolita clothing. I also plan on making a bunch of BTS posters and hanging them in my house haha. For paths, I've been thinking about making my own custom pastel stone pink heart path. My island will be cuteness and BTS overload.

I was hoping to theme my island somewhat fantasy-oriental; since we saw the giant mushrooms and lamps outside it'd be beautiful for me to mix these two together! I even have my island themed around the orient since my NL town haha :' D
