I'm just a ghost.
Even though the 2.0 update added new dialogue the problem is its the way you have to see it. The way this game works is that if you want to see new dialogue you have to talk to your villagers throughout the day and then they will start to say different things. There is a problem. When you go to the next day all those same conversations start to repeat acting as if you never seen them before.
- Better villager dialogue. The biggest negative for me with ACNH is just how watered down the dialogue is, everything is so repetitive and boring.
The dialogue when you see random visitors at your campsite is still not changed. All the villagers keep talking about how cool camping is and then they keep repeating the same topics of how cool your island is. Its fine to hear the first time, but its like you have to hear it everytime when you want to invite them. Its not that interesting.
I did notice new dialogue if you had a Resident (user) that used to live on your island and how they invited this villager to move onto the island but then they are either gone or moved away. The villager who recently moved in would actually mention how they were happy to come but they were sad to hear that they are gone. To be honest I didn't know this dialogue even existed, but the only to trigger it is to create a new user, invite the villager using that one, and then delete them, so you can see it. If its sounds complicated it is.
TLTR: While the 2.0 update added new dialogue it is still annoying how you have to do so much in the game just to see it.
