Whats a good way to get hybrid flowers

Should I plant in rows? I heard about planting them horizontally which i've done and it looks really good! but I want different colored flowers to plant around everywhere.

Next day I had a different coloured flower

Before I planted them in rows abs didn't get new flowers often

I got all of em diagonally but should I space them out or will it continue in a line(diagonally) when the hybrids grow.

the best way to do it is to plant flowers diagonally, and to have no other flowers in town other than the ones that you're trying to breed.

I had only 6 pink flowers and in ten days I ended up with 50+ because those were the only ones that I had in my town

Really? o.o I have an entire field of rows of different types of flowers. Do they have to literally be the only ones in town or in the area?

I had maybe 10 other flowers that were not hybrids
You can still breed hybrids if you have other flowers in the town
it's just faster if they are the only ones that you got there

for instance, I have a lot of other flowers now
and I've planted a field to breed hybrids, got 10 pink roses in V formation (same formation that I used the first time around)
it's been 5 days and I havent gotten any new pink roses :C
whereas when the only flowers that I had in town were the pink roses, I had like 25-30 by the 5th day

Keep your other flowers in storage or in your house
It's a bit annoying, but it's worth it in the end! ; v ;
