what's the first thing you'll do on your island?

i've already planned out my first day on the island, and the first thing i'll do is pick up all the materials lying around and make tools out of them!

excluding supposed tutorial things, what the first thing y'all will do on your island?

i’ll study my island map a bit to get a general feel of how i’ll want to decorate later on and where things could go, set my villagers up as i’m assuming we have control over where our 2 starters’ tents will be, too, and then i’ll start gathering supplies so i can start crafting :3

Figure out a place for villagers and where my house will go, and start landscaping and making dirt paths.

I don't really know the functions, I only glanced at trailers for the graphics. I'll probably reset a little bit in case there's something that bothers me, when that's done I'll do the beginner quest to completion and then just start making tools and bells. I'll also get ready to buy everything every single day and partcipate in everything so things unlock as soon as possible.

I have no plan but I'll probably just stroll around town, maybe get some materials for some tools, and pick some weeds. I know this doesn't sound a lot but I'm absolutely spending hours and hours on the first day regardless of what anyone says. I played for a good 8 hours in the first day of NL.

it's kinda hard to say, since we don't know EVERYTHING you can do haha.

i will probably start collecting a bunch of resources, and if plot resetting is a thing (if you cannot place where your villagers go) then i will place down paths (if that function will still work). another thing is trying to collect a bunch of bells. we won't really know what the best way to collect bells is for a while. people will for sure make videos about it though as time passes. (just like the youtube tutorials about new leaf, and like every other game.)

i feel this on a personal level, you really came after me with that comment. honestly, if i count the time it'll take me to potentially map reset it'll potentially be 5 hours before i even get to gather materials lol
