Well, when I first played New Leaf it took me forever to figure out where to put my house. So I'm probably wandering around for a while debating where to put my tent. Then I'm going to figure out what I need to make a fishing rod because fishing is my very favorite part of the game!

I took off work so I'll be playing at midnight. I'm going to explore and just take in the visuals, ambience, and music. I've been waiting so long for this game that when I actually get into the game I'll probably just sit on the beach and wait for the sunrise.

Probably stress over where to place my house. Kinda confused though because we can?t even access most of our island at the beginning because we need the pole vault to cross rivers and the staircases to reach the second and third levels. So we?re like limited to where we can place our home unless we can move it whenever?
The first thing I?ll craft is the pole vault unless I need the axe to gather materials to make the pole vault. Pretty much all the tools will be crafted first.
After that I?ll place my first two islanders somewhere and probably stress over that too.

I am really not sure, as we do not know what we will be able to do on the first day. However, we should at least be able to gathe some materials that do not require tools, so that's what I will do. I really hope we will be able to craft tools from Day 1, if so, I will definitely do that as well. I will also work on making bells, depending on what we are able to do on the first day.
Getting to know my villagers. I didn?t pay much attention to villager relationships in
other AC games before. If someone I liked suddenly moved out, I wasn?t exactly sad. I want to change that in the new game!
And also craft a rod and a net asap. I really want to see some beautifully HD rendered fish and bugs on my first day! I might even keep the first fish I?m catching and display it in my tent/later house forever!

That seems like fun, I’d like to do that!
I would probably explore the island a little bit to get to know the area while figuring out where exactly I would like to place my tent. Other than that, tools are usually the first thing I'd go far since they are the essentials. I would probably make the jumping stick first if I could, just incase if I wanted to put my tent on the land separated by the river, if you can't just cross it yet.
