I bought a guitar on Wednesday, and I've been practicing quite a bit ever since, and I'm having a fun time.

Not really a “skill,” but after working out at the gym all summer I’ve finally unlocked a higher speed, meaning I can run faster than I used to, which can come in handy. I don’t really care to learn any new skills or anything right now because I already know martial arts and how to play billiards well, and I’m focused on video games and writing until classes start. Basically, I’m focused on myself for at least the next year, because I cannot afford to mess up again and neither can my family. No time to learn anything new in that case.

I've been trying to play little pieces on my piano!

I also have been attending a 30min bootcamp session on my lunch at work. It's twice a week and we have a little squad that attends every class. It makes working out way more fun.

Last summer I tried to get into coding. It’s still something I’m interested in and I have a couple books and various websites for help, but since then, I’ve been busy... and a lil lazy when I’m not busy ;-; I can’t really think of any recent skills though ;^; I’m trying to get into sewing, but I haven’t really had time for that either

playing instruments is so intimidating!!!!!! idk if it counts as a skill BUT i just started trying to learn another language, it's so scary awjdhgkdfg i don't think i'm ever gonna pick it up

Best place to learn code imo.

Pottery! I went to my first pottery class (haven't seen a kiln since like elementary school art class) last Tuesday, I've decided to go weekly:). The studio is so nice and comfy.

I haven't yet, but I hope to soon try and take up some painting!
watercolor to be exact ~

I have been trying to learn Norwegian. I went to this one course for two months and it ended couple of weeks ago. Now I'm waiting to another course to begin and I'm trying to maintain what I have learned.

S? hyggelig! (So nice!)

Trying to stay calm and be fast when talking to customers because my job requires me to do so.

I've tried to learn some German sign language, but there was almost no website to learn from.
At least I now know the alphabet, though.. -_-

Does patience count? xD I've recently tried to re-develop my shooting stroke in basketball. I haven't played very much since I tore my knee up a few years ago, so it's been nice to get back out there and try to improve my game.

Parallel parking. I've practiced it a dozen times to prepare for my driving/road test.

Me too! I've practiced a little bit but really need some professional advice lol.

Other than that, I've tried to learn meditation. I didn't realise it was a skill until I tried practicing it. I'm trying it out to see if it's beneficial to me or not, we'll see!

I personally never learned how to type formally so I have been teaching myself without any form of software or help the past few years and I definitely can say that I can type very well now! :)

I just got my certification to take the test a few days ago. I was pretty nervous since the instructor told me to parallel park twice and there were two other students in the car with me. I went first. x____X But he actually said I did good and I was glad I got it over with and could relax while I waited for the other two people to do the same. It takes some getting used to though, I admit.

I need to practice meditation more. I'm really bad at it but it's good for relieving stress and anxiety so I should keep trying. Thanks for indirectly motivating me!
