thanks for this thread! i had this question as well lol
Well um you probably should just get the stand online version thats like $24.99 because I've heard some troubling info about if your subscription is expired and you have the expanded version you may not be able to play the DLC.Yeah I don't have DLC yet. Thanks for this info tho. I do plan to get the DLC pack soon along with the Nintendo Online Membership. I'm looking forward to those N64 games. Wish they had more tho like Paper Mario and Banjo Kazooie lol
Not through this method no. Although things might have changed since the 2.0 update so I reserve the right to be wrongbut this is how it worked back then (pre-2.0).
You can still kick them out with non-Amiibo visitors from your camp though. If you want a visiting camper on your island to move in, do the following:
1. Talk to the visiting camper once, save the game.
2. Log back in and talk to them again till they ask if you want to play a game.
3. If you win said game, you can ask them to move in
4. The villager will then go ask Resident Services for a plot and come back saying they heard X villager is thinking of moving out
5. If X villager is not the one you want moved, immediately close the game (don't finish the dialogue, just close the game as soon as you see the name of the villager).
6. Repeat steps 2-4 till the correct villager is chosen
7. Profit
My memory is rusty but I believe this is the correct way.
i just hope this is not a satire. hahaI think the functionality got changed with the update. Before 2.0, complaining about clothing put the villager in their default outfit for a while, but it didn't reset their wardrobe or anything. Now, doing so puts the villager in a Nook Inc. Shirt, and it might reset their wardrobe, given how complaining about the way they speak resets their catchphrase and nicknames.

The purpose of that feature is to clean up a villager that you got from some *******'s void who thought it would be funny to have their villager call you a ***** and wear a **** pic shirt.
Oh! Speaking of this function, my friend Sherlock and I have a similar problem that we can't seem to fix and talking to Isabelle hasn't fixed it. Sherlock thought it would be funny to gift Apollo a towel wrap to see if he would put it on. Well, he did alright. And now he won't stop wearing it. I had thought it was hysterical until Kyle started walking around Paradisia in a bathrobe.
Talking to Isabelle doesn't make them stop.
On my end, Kyle moved out and I thought it was just Sherlock's problem again. I was wrong. Yesterday Zell asked me to deliver a gift to Cube for him. Lo and behold, it was a freaking pink towel wrap. Now it's my problem again and I really wish I knew how to fix it.
Isn't this supposed to be something complaining about a villager should fix..?
That's awesome! Glad I could help and congratulations on getting Shino!Thank you so much!!! I didn't have the patience to hold out long enough to get rid of my duck problem, but Shino ended up in my campsite!! If it weren't for you, I'd have had no idea I could actually move her in. So, thank you!!! This helped me out and Shino is moving in tomorrow =33

Sooo, update time. I thought everything was good since he alternated between his normal clothes and a hoodie I picked out for him a while back. I was wrong.
