Hi everyone!
I’ve recently started an obsession of asking for commissions on here for art pieces of my animal crossing character and I think I maybe wanna start buying some cute collectibles but they are so expensive! D:
Could anyone at all advise me on how I can build up some tbt that won’t take ages ?
thank you!

over the last few days I've made around 250 tbt just by posting in the NH forum a lot as well as the General AC Discussion and Brewsters Cafe forums. posting in different forums earns tbt (except for The Basement and Cellar) so I would say that's your best bet.

you can also earn tbt by selling collectibles/art and in game items.

posting regularly. regularly updating an island journal helps a lot. also, writing longer posts will help you earn more

selling collectibles. if you participate in events you can usually make a good bit of tbt if youre willing to part with your prizes

selling in-game items. there are already a few popular shops, but you can still make some tbt by selling diys, rare items, seasonal materials, etc

offering commissions for art or in-game patterns is another good way to earn some tbt

Besides earning tbt from posting, I used to run a villager adoption shop in New Leaf which got me a lot. However, I feel like it's way more tedious to do that for New Horizons so I haven't done it since. I just post, which ends up being fine. I don't need too much tbt so for my needs, it works out

Not sure if it was quick but I made about 100K in 10 months from AC:NH trading. Lots of tedious work though. I’d recommend just posting on boards daily and selling any unwanted collectibles you acquire from every forum-wide event.

I just post and engage in threads a lot. It adds up quickly. As mentioned before, certain boards don’t reward bells. These include the aforementioned Basement and Cellar, as well as the Introduction Board. The bells add up quickly overtime.

In order of efficiency (for me):
  • Posting
  • Site events
  • Trading
  • Making Art
Also, don't forget to credit lana. (i think?) For your lovely gorgeous 👏 😍 😘 new pfp. I don't want to mooch credit!

I wish I had the time and the patient to open a shop to sell. But I guess I am just too lazy to manage a business in real life and on the internet.

The quickest way for me was getting incredibly lucky and winning one of the rarest collectibles from the scavenger hunt raffle this year and selling it for mostly TBT, lol. In general, selling collectibles from the events for TBT is definitely a quick way of earning lots of TBT. Sometimes people do giveaways with high TBT amounts and you might end up lucking out and winning the giveaway. Some people do trading in NH and sell art and all that to earn TBT as well. Otherwise you just gotta stick to the tried and true method of posting a bunch to earn it.

The most TBT I've made was around 2 years ago whenever I won a Heart Glow Wand at the Halloween giveaway, and I sold it for around 9k TBT. I've mostly gained TBT through collectibles, but I've made quite a bit trading in game items too.

I post to earn a constant income lol. but I do sell most collectibles from events because I'm not interested in having too many of them. I rather a few more valuable ones compared to many cheaper collectibles. I used to sell art too! I just can't at the moment because study and my iPad is unavailable right now haha.
