What’s up with all the villager hate?

I can kinda understand it. I find myself often rolling my eyes or thinking 'oh god why this one?' but I was never really passionate about it. It's just a game.

I don't really hate any villager, I do see lots of hate and I just turn away because I mean everyone plays how they play. However I don't see the point in complaining about it either.

Beardo the Weirdo. The dude looks like a freakin’ *blank* offender. Call the cops.

I wouldn't say I hate any villager, but, Octavian does haunt me. When I was a child playing WW, I was terrified he'd kill me, he just always seemed so angry, and it didn't help that he has wriggly, writhing tentacles, and vacuum cleaner nose. Uggh....

He wouldn't give me nightmares nowadays, but he'd still gives me the heebie jeebies.

i feel kinda bad when people say really hostile stuff like "i will KILL this villager!!!".... especially because each villager has such a friendly personality, no matter what they look like
that being said i think this game still doesn't handle random villagers very well. i got very disappointed that the villagers on the nook miles islands just disappeared after i invited my first one and i will be stuck with a random one tomorrow in the second plot i built. i do wish they would give us heads ups on these things, and not force us to invite campers, etc. it feels like i ****ed up now but there wasn't really any way to know about this

I don't hate any villagers but I will admit that I do find some of the ugly such as Rodney or Moose. There are some villagers that I thought were also super ugly but they were really sweet so I ended up keeping them longer such as Jambette, Gloria, and Chops. But I do agree some people really need to calm down though because imagine being pissed over pixel animals lmao.

I think half of the villager designs are so-so or too plain, but I don't hate any of them! But also disappointed that you have to invite the first villager in the campsite, which I think is unnecessary since the point of the campsite is to find a villager you do want...? It also takes very, very long for villagers to move if you don't use an amiibo card, which might make some players upset that they're stuck with a villager they don't want for possibly weeks/months. Back in New Leaf, I was stuck with Curlos for months, despite playing every day for a long time, which was annoying since he didn't fit my town's theme.

I can totally understand if it's a penguin.

That's why they added paper bags to the game.

Fair enough your stuck with starting villagers but the campsite you have to invite the first villager no matter what sigh let’s see who I get tomorrow in my campsite
