What's up with the Bells?!?

Ok, is it just me, or has the value of a Bell gone down compared to other games? I feel like I pay way more for things in NH than in the other games I've played (PG, CF). Basically, it feels like inflation has affected the money in-game. I'm paying 2000B for a shirt in NH but a shirt in PG is like 500B. What's up with that? I know it may be because it's easier to earn or exploit Bells in NH than in previous games but it feels like a lot more than that. Please tell me I'm not crazy!

I think the prices are close to NL's, though I remember CF, WW, and GC prices being much cheaper. I think it definitely is easier to make bells in NH if you know what you're doing but I also think it's a combination of a wider audience age range and the desire for players to have something to spend their money on consistently. Nintendo wants people to play their games as much as possible so having higher prices = longer playtimes to afford them and long-term goals that the players set by themselves.

Oh- yeah that makes sense. I really think a lot of the reason I keep playing NH is to earn Bells and I want to earn Bells because now that I've finished the main "storyline" I want to buy a lot of expensive stuff to have an achievement/something to do. And so the long term goal of buying the 1,000,000 Bell crown is keeping me playing XD
