How does anyone feel that you can only have 60 items in each room and outside? Don't you wish you could have more? Maybe in the next update you can have 100-120 items in each room and outside. Eh?

the inside doesn't bother me, but the outside does. i just want to cover the yard in flowers, is that so much to ask? :(

the item limit is actually one of the things that makes me hesistant to buy the game. it's already a bother in new leaf (where it's lower, but still) but when you can have really big rooms and outdoors and you can only place 60 objects it gets kind of annoying and hard to decorate.
I don't get why they didn't have a higher limit. Some people love to cluster their rooms ;;;;;

Wait, there's one in NL? What's the limit in that game?

I personally can't stand seeing a yard covered in nothing but flowers. It's just too overwhelming for me and I prefer a little variety in yards...

So far, I've only reached the item limits twice: Once in Tabby's abandoned hospital and second in Coco's Shrine to Gyroids. I can manage with the 64 item limit most of the time, but I wish it was just a little more so I could place some wooden decks in Coco's main room. OH WELL!

Limit is 64 per room in Happy Home Designer, by the way. That's 4 more items then you specified! :p

64? Hmm... Know the reference?

The item limit is probably for memory and loading purposes.

don't worry, i put down other things besides flowers! there's still too many flowers for the limit, though :c

I've actually never run into the item limit in HHD. I did in NL, but never in this game. Maybe I just decorate differently?

I've hit it on mostly restaurant rooms and both of my shops and my cafe xD. My designs are probably cluttered

I've only hit it a couple of times- mostly on shops and cafes, because everything is on tables, and there's not a lot of large items to take up space, and also when I get REALLY into landscaping and try to make more complicated floor-stuff that requires individual tile patterns instead of large swaths of pattern- the outdoor chess board took up exactly 64 items, and I also hit the limit when doing a rice paddy, with the rows separated by little ridges

I honestly did not know that this limit existed, i never really placed a flower field outside a house though so that might be the reason why i did not notice it. But now i know, i think it would bother me that i can not put flowers everywhere when there is a villager that would suit lots of flowers. Maybe they should adjust the limits for the outside parts, like 30 furniture related items (since i can't imagine anyone creating a furniture festival outside) and around 90 for flowers, perhaps 120. That would be possible i guess.

I've never hit the limit because I've always stuck to decorating smaller rooms. Small-scale designs are so much more appealing to me.

That being said, if you have an idea to house multiple room functions in one large room -- you'll probably run into some issues, sadly.

I wholeheartedly agree with this 100%! For example, I originally gave Violet the Gorilla a 10x8 space, but felt it was far too big for what was supposed to be a Homey Little Restaurant, so I remodeled it to a 10x6 space. I like it a whole lot better that way. here's a pic:

Don't have a before photo, unfortunately, but oh well!

I've hit the limit twice on the outdoor decorating.
Put a large chessboard outside and the 1 square tiles were the problem.
Been able to use all the flooring outside would be helpful. The checkboard rug in a smaller size would have worked and only counted as one item.

If you make the tiles black/grass instead of black/white you can make the whole thing (and it looks cooler, imo). No room for anything else though.
