Which is your favorite adaptation of the Charles Dickens classic novel?
Mine is the 1984 George C Scott version. To me this is just the best version, no other quite compares to me. It has the best scrooge, the best christmas present, and the best christmas future (the sound effects for him are amazing)

I'm also fond the mickey christmas carol too.

What is yours and why? :)

A Christmas Carol is my favourite book, and I watch a bunch of different adaptations around Christmas. My top 3 favourites in vague order are the 1951 A Christmas Carol with Alastair Sim, the 2009 one with Jim Carrey, and the Muppet Christmas Carol.

The Jim Carrey one is underrated imo. It stays remarkably true to the book. If it weren't for the random carriage chase scene (this was released during a 3D movie craze, so I'm sure the filmmakers were told to come up with something to sell 3D tickets), it might squeak into my first place spot. It's also quite scary at some points, where I feel the scary aspects often get toned down in other retellings.

I LOVE the Muppets Christmas Carol, it's my hands down favorite ever. I've already watched it a few times this year and am probably going to watch it a couple more times too this month. I just really love it, and the music and everything. Growing up with Jim Henson it's always been a big part of my childhood.

good gosh, I saw the Jim Carrey one in theaters and it terrified me. I forget how old I was, but we were literally the only people in the theater we had it all to ourselves.

Well, I think we all agree that The Muppets Christmas Carol is one of the best, if not the best remake (?) of A Christmas Carol.

Haha yes! There's at least one good jump scare and a fair amount of creepy imagery. I was 16 when I saw it in theatres, and the door knocker made me jump off my seat. And the Ghost of Christmas Present gets pretty frightening at the end of his segment (as he should, he's actually super creepy in the book at that point). I just love that this one feels as scary as Dickens originally intended.
