Bricks and
Mortar??? Goodness, what an
unflattering name!
I've not attended a horse race before, but I do indeed find them fascinating. Especially since in the Kentucky Derby, it is customary for men to wear vibrant, maybe even
whacky suits, while the women wear somewhat equally loud attire, but of course, within the standards of formal wear, to some extent.
I wear what are called "broken suits" a lot, so something like this is definitely my place to shine!
But back on the topic of the horses proper, I chose Bricks and Mortar because it
sounds funny. Sounds like rugged slang for feeling ill or something.
"I think I'll call off work, I'm all bricks and mortar today". I wouldn't place bets on horse racing though. I feel you really gotta
follow those horses and their jockeys to be able to make an educated bet. Like with any sport, I suppose. Just not my thing, memorizing stats of random athletes I don't care about. Now you want me to keep track of an
animal's stats??
I have better things to retain in my memory than how many MPH little
Bricks and Mortar over here can run at.
