It depends on the pancake. If the pancakes are blueberry or chocolate pancakes I prefer them plain. If they are regular pancakes I like maple syrup, honey or with butter. Maple syrup has to be real though so none of that Aunt Jemima corn syrup stuff! If there isn't any real maple syrup I like to use honey. Butter is used sometimes by itself on the pancakes or with the honey/maple syrup over it. The combination of butter and maple syrup is a deliciously dangerous combination to my tongue.
I’m most partial to keeping it simple and just pouring some maple syrup over my pancakes, personally. I also prefer not having too many pancakes at once, though; gotta have something savory or salty to balance out the sweetness, otherwise it starts to overwhelm me.
Butter and syrup are my go-to pancake toppings. But if I had my choice of anything, I would definitely add whipped cream and maybe some strawberries and chocolate.
It depends on where I'm eating pancakes. At home, when someone makes 'em or when I make 'em myself, I prefer just plain ol' syrup as a topping.
If I'm at IHOP, however, I order the biggest stack available topped with strawberry syrup, strawberries and bananas. I'm not crazy about the whipped cream, however, so I just leave it on the side.
I prefer the pancakes themselves to be plain on the inside. No chocolate chips or anything else.
I really like butter and some kind of fruit syrup strawberry or blueberry are the ones I usually go for
you used to be able to get boysenberry and lingonberry syrup easily around here, and those are my absolute favorite, but they're hard to get now
i love pancakes, they're one of my favourite breakfast foods!! as for how i prefer mine, i like chocolate chip pancakes the best with maple syrup on top. i do also enjoy adding toppings like sliced strawberries, especially when they're tangy, and/or not too ripe bananas on top for a fresh punch of flavour. i like the cinnamon roll pancakes my sister makes too despite not being the biggest fan of cinnamon; they're warm, soft and gooey and so so good. like @/a potato said though they're a sugar overload lmao but so worth it!!! ;w;
I don’t really eat pancakes that often but when I do it’s just usually some plain pancakes with butter and some maple syrup, maybe add some fruit and whip if I’m feeling fancy. Cinnamon roll pancakes and Japanese soufflé pancakes both look and sound delicious though. I would love to give those a try one day.
I like fresh blueberries with a bit of maple syrup and whipped cream.But.....when I visited Maui a while back,I had pancakes topped with macadamia nuts,bananas and a really good coconut syrup.I'd go back there just for more of those pancakes.
I don't eat pancakes all that often, but I do like a few different types. I like honey, whipped cream, lemon and sugar, and berries. My favourite is lemon and sugar, and then most likely honey. I'm not too fond of maple syrup, but I don't hate it.
a very canadian answer from me; maple syrup (❁´▽`❁)
i also don’t mind butter or berries on top whenever i’m getting them at brunch but whenever it’s just at home then plain syrup will do!!
i like my pancakes with maple syrup. i also like them plain with scrambled eggs and bacon. i think souffle pancakes are great with whipped cream and fruits, but i think at this point in my life i appreciate a thin and crispy pancake that i can dip into maple syrup.
