What's your Favorite Movie?

I'm a big Star Wars fan, so some of my favorite movies are Star Wars The Empire Strikes Back and Star Wars Rogue One.

I’m not a big movie person, I rarely can sit through the entire thing and actually pay attention to it, but movies I like are: Your name, a silent voice, lego movie and anything studio ghibli. All cartoons/anime oops.

i have a lot of favourite movies sooo enjoy the list
-literally all the harry potter movies
-princess and the frog
-hercules
-emperors new groove
-a dogs way home
-cruella (omg please go see it in cinema it is soo worth it 10/10)
-lowkey the bratz doll movies slappp
-before i wake (a bit of a horror but i have inside jokes about it lol)
last but of course not least despicable me, the best movies of all time

Too many, but if I have to name one, definitely Breaking the waves. Absolutely heartbreaking and fantastic in a bunch of ways, especially the soundtrack.

I'm not really a movie person (I don't watch a lot of things, actually), so I can only name anime ones.

The Ocean Waves
The Anthem of the Heart
When Marnie Was There
A Silent Voice
Your Name.

Those would be my Top 5, I think. I don't want to be too much of a weeb, but there's just something about the quality of something as simple as slice of life anime. I tend to prefer series over movies too.

- Weird Science (1985)
- Airplane! (1980)
- Arthur (1981)

Those are really good. "I picked the wrong day to quit sniffing glue" :ROFLMAO:

And, you are the second person on the forums I've met that has the same birthday as I do. 🙌

There are so many good movies across all genres, but if I was to choose my comfort movies, they would be:
  • Ever After
  • Howl's Moving Castle
  • The Last Samurai
  • Disney's Mulan (animated)
  • Monster's Inc.

I have not seen any of those. Adding them to my watch list! This is great, getting lots of suggestions for good new movies. New to me anyway.

Cool! Adding that to my watch list also!

I don’t watch a lot of films because I prefer series but here’s some that I love

Edward Scissorhands
Beetlejuice
Nightmare Before Christmas
The Addams Family
The Craft
My Neighbour Totoro
Howl’s Moving Castle
Harry Potter
Labyrinth

I forgot to add some other movies to my list

Clue
Lilo & Stitch
Kiki’s Delivery service
Ghost in the Shell SAC: Solid State Society (I don’t remember anything about it and the wikipedia summary did not ring a bell, but I am pretty sure I liked it a lot which is rare when it comes to movies for anime series).

oh i have a lot of movies i really love... i tend to prefer animated films from the 70s & 80s, idk why lmao. i also love fantasy of all kinds, and surreal stuff <3

I agree it's fantastic and I've watched it at least 5 times aha.

My favorite movie is a tie between the Pixar movies Up and Inside Out. I definitely love both of them a lot and hold them near and dear to my heart.
