What’s your personal tier list - normal villagers

S: Favorites! They are so cute and I would love to have them on my island. Love their desgins.
A: Also some of my favorites! Just not my dreamies.
B: They are all cute and I like their designs and would be okay with them on my island. Wouldn't go out of my way to get them though.
C; Not the biggest fan of them, their designs aren't the worst but not my favorite.
D: Don't like these.

these are always really had for me but i tried my best based off how i currently feel lol;

Tier S: i love love Étoile she's one of my favorites, definitely the one i was sure of her placement on the tier list.
Tier A: the i love them category
Tier B: the i like them category
Tier C: the their okay, wouldn't mind them category
Tier D: the don't care for them category, as you can see I'm not much a fan of the kangaroo species.

I just can't see myself ranking any villagers as C or D!

S is villagers I love so much, and would love to have them on my island!

A is villagers I also really love, but probably won't have them on my island. Although when I actually look at the line-up there, I do have Merengue and Poppy on my island currently. And, I would be interested in inviting Norma, Nan and Aurora.

B is villagers that I also love, but I either don't know enough about them, or there are just so many villagers, I couldn't possibly make room to invite them.

From the normal villagers, on my island already I have: Gayle, Savannah, Rhonda, Megan, Merengue and Poppy! I didn't realise how many normal villagers I have.

There are a few villagers on my island who I think might move on soon, and this has given me so much to think about! I don't know that I have an amiibo card for Celia, but my instinct at the moment is that I need her.

love of my life ( S ): what it says on the tin, the loves of my life, my absolute faves. all villagers I currently have or have had, (hunting aurora, had merengue, the other three are current residents). they're just,,,, THE BEST.

an absolute sweet bean ( A ): so sweet, so precious, I love them. not all of them are right for my island, but I adore them and would love them at one point or another (bettina & olive though are current residents).

you're baby (just not my baby) ( B ): these are the cuties who when I find them on an island, I let out an "awwww cutie!!" but never consider them for my island

This one was kinda hard, unlike the other personalities, I've never really had a normal that rubbed me the wrong way. I should have changed my ranking system for this one, I should've made a "had and still neutral" tier, I'd put Marina, Lily, Coco, Goldie, Melba, and that mouse in that tier. I wouldn't say I dislike any of them. I only put that mouse in my E tier because I can't even remember her name, but I don't have any bad memories of her so now I feel bad haha.

I love normal villagers, but doing this made me realize that there are a good amount I don't love. All of these are in order of my fave to least fave.

S: Poppy is the best and of course she is currently on my island. One day I hope to have the others, especially Kiki around this upcoming spooky season.

A: I currently have Maple and she's sweet, but I'd love any of the others as well.

B: I've never had any of these villagers, but would definitely be interested. I especially like Koala villagers just because they're so unique.

C: I wouldn't go out of my way to get any of these villagers, but they're all good designs and I wouldn't be mad if they moved in.

D: Don't love these ones, but I'd let them move in. However, they would quickly be rotated out.

F: No thank you.

Anyone in C tier and above I'd be happy with on my island. I don't dislike any on D Tier apart from Ava, Rhonda and Alice, but I wouldn't willingly invite them.

S Tier
Gala has grown on me quite a bit, the banker aspect of her home makes her feel a bit more self sufficient which helps add something interesting to the Normal personality for me.
Molly is pretty plain, but she was a treasured member of my island for a bit.
Lily is adorable, not sure I want her as I have close family with that name.
Merengue is fun. Had her for awhile and thought she was solid.
Tia is an adorable theme and one of the few elephants without the dumb side smiles.
Savannah got taken in by my friend, and she is adorable.

A Tier
Most of these are cuties that I might want to try out, but I kind of assume I'll be bored of them kind of fast. I had Goldie and enjoyed how she seemed to like to hang out with Groucho. I passed up Mitzi on my most recent hunt cause something just felt slightly off though. And I really want to like Kiki, but I'm not sure on her.

B Tier
Cute to alright villagers that I probably won't take onto my island... well except Marina since my options for trying out a octopus is severely limited. I thought I had June in A Tier though... not sure what had me drop her down one.

C tier
Not that cute. Sometimes I forget why I don't find Norma cute till she turns and I see those pigtails going on.

D Tier
Vesta's face is too simple.
Chevre's mouth placement looks like her chin opens up to speak to you. Creepy.
Why'd they give Peaches those eyes? Questionable judgement.
Marcie is pretty horrendous. Lack of a nose on a big snouted animal. Lipstick and make up on her and her baby making them look like they applied selfie filters. Her creepily over done eyes and bleh hair cut.

Marcie is absolutely one of my least favorite villagers.

I'm not crazy about normal villagers, but a few of them are cute. My boyfriend really liked Coco so I got them for our island, and they grew on me when I previously didn't care much for them.

IMO, Normal has by far the biggest number of stellar characters of all the personalities. There's actually so many great Normals that I feel like it's a bit too much - I wish some of them could be transferred over to personalities like Sisterly that don't have as many wonderful character designs. I'm always torn on which Normals to put in my village. I also think some of the best examples of each species are Normals. Chevre the Goat is the only goat I like of all the goat villagers, and Meringue and Rhonda are the only Rhinos I like in the whole game. Savannah's also my favorite horse, Skye's my favorite Wolf, and Marcie's my favorite Kangaroo.

Right now I have Marcie as my permanent Normal because I really like the maternal Kangaroo for this personality. I also have a second Normal spot in my village that I'll rotate other Normals in and out of so I can enjoy the many great ones. Coco creeps me out, though.

My best friend and worst enemy are both normal villagers and deserve their own tiers.

Melba is just Melba.
S are villagers I really love. I've had most of them before (Étoile is moving in soon).
A are villagers I like a lot. I used to have a few of them. The koalas are there by association with Melba.
B are villagers I think are pretty good.
C is villagers I'm more neutral towards or kind of don't like but at least she's an ostrich.
D are just ones I don't like.
We don't talk about the bottom tier and how she's evil.

normal is my absolute favourite personality. i adore the majority of the normal villagers’ designs, and love how sweet and caring they are! i can kind of see how some may find them bland, but i’ve never been one of those people. i love them just the way they are!

a lot has changed from my last tier list in terms of villager placement and whatnot, but the biggest change is definitely the fact that i no longer have a D tier. not every normal villager is a favourite of mine, but i honestly don’t hate any of them, not even jambette lol. they’re all cute in their own way imo, and none of them are D tier worthy for me. <3

Not a die hard fan of normal villagers.

I just haven't conected with one. Like yeah their super nice, cute I suspose. But just, would rather talk about more then just cooking, not for me.

But I respect those who do like them, this is just my personal opinion.

It has been fun seeing these threads come back around, and honestly, I’ve been looking for something to bring me back here anyway! I wanted to see how my list had changed and how it hadn’t, so I made a new tier list.

Normals remain my favorite personality, so I tend to like all of them, and it is still hard to say who my absolute favorite is. Currently, it is Daisy - I recently added her to my island and she is just darling, I don’t know what it is exactly. But I felt that instant attachment to her and she makes me smile. Fauna is still around on my island because for some reason I have an attachment to my particular fauna, but I would like to let her leave just because I have more normal villagers I want to ‘meet’

I’m still pretty shaky on some of the distinction between S and A and I could even see some villagers in the B tier becoming favorites.

Relatedly, thinking of inviting Bea so I can have a trifecta of normal doggos.
