When and where do we get bushes?

I plan to have a few shrubs on my island but I've noticed nooks cranny doesn't sell them? I've got the 2nd nooks cranny. Does anyone know if it remodel again and sells bushes too?

i don’t believe bushes are in the game yet - however, there’s an earth day update scheduled for sometime in april which’ll add leif to the game so maybe they’ll be added, then

We do not currently know if bushes will be in the game or not-- there are areas that use them (player home, museum) that suggests we may eventually get them but so far no sign of player-planted bushes

I want the bushes so bad. I hope they get added, because I like using them as path borders/barriers more than I like using trees or spending a fortune on fences.

As of right now, it appears that bushes are not in the game for players to use. Disappointing, I know. People say that they might be introduced with Leif. I have my doubts, considering the fact that it sounds like Leif is going to be a one-time character. This is just one of the many things that seems to have been cut in this game.

Yeah it seems weird to me that such a major feature has not been shown at all

In the meantime I've been using hedge standees to get my bush fix, haha. You can even customize them to be hydrangea and hibiscus.

I wouldn't call it a "major feature", tbh. It was a brand new New Leaf feature, for sure. But it's never been a staple of the series, so it's not too weird it's being left out. But again, we need to check on the Leif update

I don't want to be "that person" but I wish everyone would stop going on how about how they know feature x (insert whatever missing feature in place of x) is going to be added in some major update they've not even told us anything about/might not even be coming.

Here is the direct quote from Nintendo from the 2/20/2020 direct:

Will there be any free updates after launch? Yes! We will offer free updates after the game launches and will continue to provide free seasonal events throughout the year!

Maybe I am misinterpreting this, but they have only specified that the updates were for holidays. From people who played before launch, it seems that the 1.1 update only added Bunny Day (and online), but nothing else. I would be overjoyed if this stuff gets added in via updates, but I really wish people would stop saying they KNOW missing feature x is going to be added.
