When are we going to find out the personalities of the new villagers?

We probably won't officially know till release like we won't know if they will be on Mystery Islands.
I heavily believe in the pattern though.
Sasha is a MALE Lazy
Ione is a Female Normal
Tiansheng is a Male Jock
Shino is a Female Peppy.
Marlo is a Male Cranky.
Petri is a Female Snooty.
Cephalobot is a Male Smug.
And lastly Quinn is a Female Sisterly.

Sasha and Quinn are fascinating to me. In English AND Spanish, their names are both male and female names (Ariel and Alexis in Spanish), so I wonder if they’re playing with the androgyny here. In Japanese, Sasha has a very obvious male name, and Quinn seems to have a female name. We have precedent for male villagers who have female names in Japanese (Marshal, Julian), but we’ve never seen the English and Spanish translations keep the ambiguity. I love the idea of Sasha being lazy, or even jock!

What's the pattern? I'm not doubting you, just trying to understand what it is for my own curiosity.
I think Sasha is indeed male and Quinn is female.
Look at this:
Someone pointed out that the arrangement of the cards for villagers alternates between male and female.
Starting with Sherb, you can see the pattern of male, female, male, female, etc...

Quinn does look female to me too. The lines above the eyes look more feminine and also just generically remind me of some of the other female eagles and birds.
I assumed Sasha was female at first, but now that you all are pointing it out, it makes sense. Sasha is wearing a letter jacket, and I don't think I've seen that ever put on as a default outfit for a female character. Obviously that doesn't necessarily mean anything because all animals can wear all shirts/dresses. I liked Sasha when assuming they were female, but if they are male, somehow that makes the character even more interesting. I guess I feel that way because it shows that Nintendo is actually trying to do more androgynous characters, and having a wide variety of character types just creates appeal and interest for players.

I love this! Honestly Sasha’s jacket might’ve been a giveaway all along. That screams jock to me lol
Sasha kinda reminds me of a Kpop singer like the guys in BTS. They will sometimes wear softer colors and have styled hair.
edit to add: I think we are getting two villagers per personality( 2 jock, 2 snooty, 2 normal, etc)

This pattern. (NPCS - Lazy - Normal - Jock - Peppy - Cranky - Snooty - Smug - Sisterly) Also on the Japanese Site, the gender of the villagers alternate male/female with Sasha being on the male side. Further backing this up, all the returning old villagers match up to their old personalities besides the last two in which Smug and Sisterly did not exist. They are very possibly being changed to the new personalities.

Faith is a mystery to me though, she's supposed to be a sisterly according to the pattern, but she used to be a normal in previous games so I'm guessing they changed her personality just like they changed some of the returning villagers names!!

Dang you got such a nicer image, I was still on the Direct video taking snips and trying to edit them quickly. But yep even the personalities are columned off in a specific order.

I feel the same way about Shino probably being peppy. I really, really hope she’s either uchi (best case) or snooty instead, but it does seem less likely now.
