When do you think Nintendo will make next amiibo cards

They are also still releasing new ones. Byleth, Terry and Banjo-Kazooie from the Smash line are coming out at the end of March this year.

They aren’t out until March 26th in my country. Might be different elsewhere though.

I know this as I pre-ordered Byleth a week or so ago. The other two were available for preorder as well with a date of March.

I don't think they ever will.

Amiibo's seem to be being phased out.

I hope they will one day maybe like one or two more packs but each amiibo pack has 6 cards, 5 villagers and an NPC. They would have to add more packs to one or more of the series to accommodate which idk if they will do. I got lucky and the target near my house has amiibo cards available if you buy 35$ or more, you can then add as many amiibo card packs as you want to your order (at cost though, so ~6$ per pack) so I was able to get some new amiibos and I luckily got no repeats!

Definitely hoping for more and I think they could do a set of 50 (although there's really nothing to say they have to hit a certain number. They could just do a small set with like 20 cards or something.

There's a LOT of NPCs that are repeated across the 4 main series cards so i can see them doing another card for the likes of Isabelle, Nook, Timmy/Tommy etc in their island attire, plus you have other NPCs like Harvey, Wilbur/Orville, Flick, CJ, Wisp

8 New Villagers plus lets say at the least 10 gets them to 18 cards already. Throw in a new Redd card, a new one for Label (her other card says Labelle as she was in NL plus she has a new outfit) gets them to 20 easy peasy.

What they *should* do is revive some older villagers from older games + add in characters like Wolf Link/Ganon/Feyline etc and they could probably get a decent little group together.

covid i am sure played a large part in the delay and scarcity of the amiibo cards. Hopefully they will add the new characters and release more for purchase starting in March 2021

Since there are so few new characters I was hoping for a sanrio style pack that just had them all.

If they make them at all, I think it will be a limited time/special item type of thing. For example, maybe it's a MyNintendo reward, or only available from the online Nintendo store. And I think it would be a set of just the new villagers. My pipe dream would be full-fledged amiibo figurines... but I think that era has passed.

I wonder if they're waiting until they introduce more villagers or at least more NPCs before making them for the new set. Just wishful thinking on my part haha.

Never, why bother with manufacturing, and logistics of cards, when pocket camp prints them money.
Plus Nintendo have really dropped the ball with New Horizons, they have just been drip feeding the game locked content that were done long before release.

I don’t know , I think they might not. By now most people that wanted the new villagers have them. So making new cards of them isn’t too necessary.

If they do start making them again, I hope they don't get scalped like they were. Scalpers really disgust me.
