When do you think the Wii U Animal Crossing Will Come Out?

At least a couple years from now. With AC games, they always appear to come out on new consoles after the console has been out a while. Your guess of 2015 or 2016 sounds likely.

As much as it's great to see people already excited for a new game in the series, we have like four other threads discussing this already. Not gonna close it though.
 
Wii U would likely be on its last legs by 2017, so that would be quite the failure if it takes that long to come out. I'm guessing late 2015 or early 2016, but with Nintendo it's hard to tell. Hopefully they will consider it a priority to get Animal Crossing out for Wii U and put more people on the project to accelerate development.
 
Probably quite a while.
It took a while for New Leaf to come out and it was announced in 2010 or something like that.

I think the Wii U will have until at least 2018 or 2019 until it gets outdated, considering the Wii lasted around 6 years before it was outdated. Either way I do hope the new Animal Crossing comes out within the next 3 years.

I'd want ACWiiU to come out in about three years. Sounds good to me. I want it to be good. I want it to be polished.

Basically I want them to amaze us all with this game as they did with New Leaf.

Also I want it to be three years so we're all tired of New Leaf because I'm still loving it right now.
 
I have the feeling the new animal crossing will also be for the 3DS and not for the Wii U
 
Why would there be another 3DS Animal Crossing? Nintendo usually does it one game per platform. You don't see 2 Mario Karts on the same platform, or 2 NSMB games. If it was so their games would be more uninspired and repetitive, especially in a series like AC where its almost the same every time.

Also the reason that you think it won't be on Wii U because it's 'flopping' made me facepalm so hard. Nintendo is not the company to give up. If anything, it WILL be on Wii U because of the sales. A big time brand like Animal Crossing would definitely increase Wii U sales.

Heres some questions to ask yourself; is Mario Kart 8 going to be on 3DS because the Wii U's sales are a tad low as of recent? Is Smash Bros. going to ge ONLY on 3DS and skip Wii U? Is DK Tropical Freeze going to be on 3DS and not Wii U? If anything, these prime first party releases are what Wii U needs. Wanting another 3DS AC instead of Wii U will just be killing it more. The Wii U isn't selling because if its lack of games. So your proposing that we should kill Wii U and stop making games for it?

I'm guessing late 2015, early 2016. I feel like AC Plaza ending at the end of 2014 has something to do with it, maybe like a reveal or an announcement or something but it's just a guess.
 
I most certainly hope it doesn't get announced that they're working on anything for another good year or so.
Anything too soon will make the game into a rehash of NL, exactly how City Folk was basically an updated version of WW with its minor inclusion of some rough new features.

I definitely can't wait to play an HD AC game, but I don't mind waiting a few more years to ensure they make another perfect addition to the series :)
 
I, personally, think that an Animal Crossing will not come out for the Wii U.

That is just my opinion, though...
 
I don't think it has anything to do with " flopping" of the wii u but I just feel a lot of people would pick up an animal crossing game more easily on a ds rather than a tv.
And 1 game per platform? What about Pokemon?? Animal crossing is a portable success, why not continue it

I don't really think the Wii U is flopping, there just aren't many games for it yet. Once Super Smash Bros and the new Zelda come out, I bet the sales will increase a ton. Also I'd really prefer for the new Animal Crossing to be on the 3DS, as it's best as a portable game.

I have a wii u ~

I think it's pretty good, it's a wii with a lot more features and new and better games coming, we just gotta be patient. I do think they should've waited till about September or October last year to release it, since it didn't have many games when it was released. I love Pikmin 3 and can't wait for mario kart 8 <3
