when was the worst time your console has died while playing acnh?

I play docked 100% of the time, so I've never had my Switch die. However, I did lose progress once when, one morning, I noticed I'd left New Horizons on, but I wanted to play something else, and I thought, "Eh, I'm sure it autosaved whatever I did last, Il'l just close the game without waiting for it to load a new day and play something else first today." Then when I went back to New Horizons, I discovered that it hadn't saved me commissioning a firefly model from Flick, which was the last thing I'd done before sleeping my Switch the night before. So I had to wait for Flick to visit again to do that. ^o^;>

I have never had my switch die on me while I was playing thank goodness cause that would extremely annoy me. I think the only times that would be completely annoying to have your switch die would be when you are in the middle of crafting and while you are trying to lay down paths all over your island.

i have a switch lite, so its usually always charging while i play, but it did die on me once — thankfully not while i was doing anything important, though. i had stopped playing and forgot to turn my switch off, and it wasn’t plugged in, so it died while in sleep mode. no big deal since i saved before i stopped playing, so i didn’t lose any progress. 😅

My Switch has literally never died. I always turn it off when it gets below 15%.

Generally speaking, it's not good to let batteries completely die on any electronic. It shortens the battery's life.

I was resetting my plot for the lazy villager at the beginning of the game, and the power died on me. :(
I was looking for Stitches and got Nate instead. Dx

Oh well, good thing I got aimbo cards now lol.

thank god that has never happened to me. I usually play on my switch until it gives me the 5% warning then I start getting my charger ready lol

That really scares me, why did the data get corrupted? All it did was crash...
I have no idea how it crashed, but after it crashed, the switch said corrupt data was found and i have to redownload the game (especially after updating acnh sometimes), but from what i've seen, its an sd card issue, so i might have to get a new one at some point.

I’m the kind of person who panics and runs for a charger the second I get a low battery notification, so I haven’t ever had my Switch die while playing anything. I didn’t even even realize there were multiple notifications! If for some reason I cannot grab a charger (traveling, puppy is napping where I left the charger, etc.) I just save and quit.

Switch didn't die but something worse happened. I was terraforming a river near a bridge when my game froze up and crashed. When I tired to reload I found out that my data got corrupted and had to redownload the game. Almost lost my 300 hour save that day, what a scare.

My switch has never died. When I'm not playing handheld mode it is always docked. I have only gotten low battery once and when it happened I finished what I was doing and docked it. I'm kinda paranoid about it dying and me losing what I've done.

My Switch has never died during any game, I think?
The closest thing I had happen was Kapp'n not taking me back to my island so I just lost that player character's daily Kapp'n trip since the last autosave was when I paid the Nook Miles.

a few days ago someone was drawing on my bulletin board, took them about an hour to finish but halfway through the first time my switch died because I forgot to plug it in ;__; I felt horrible and gave them a huge tip of course and luckily they were super nice and didn't mind

tbh I've never had it die before, I almost obsessively check my battery level and tend to put it on the charger at 60% which I know it terrible for the battery but with nintendo, for whatever reason, not giving us any low battery light on the console, I'm always super paranoid about it dying on me.

oh my gosh, I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM!!! i swear, especially with new horizons, if i'm not actively playing the game for more than like, 5 minutes, my fan goes CRAZY and my switch is scorching hot. i hate when this happens especially if i'm afk or waiting for someone to use the dodo code to get to my island. it drives me insane :')

My Switch gets super hot when playing Animal Crossing as well.... Glad I'm not the only one o.o

My Switch almost died on me while I was queueing at a turnip exchange. I was doing my dailies and renos while waiting and just forgot to keep it plugged in.

I’ve never had my switch die on me, I always charge it after I get the second “low battery” warning

i dont think its ever died while playing but i have had to turn it off due to low battery a few times when i was in bed and too lazy to get up and go get the charger, thats never fun haha i try to keep it in the dock though that way it always has enough battery to play

I don’t think I’ve had it die on me while playing it, but sometimes I’ll forget the battery is low until I see the 1% battery warning and I have to finish what I’m doing and save. Luckily I don’t think it’s died on me while saving, but I think it died once when it changed to the title screen after you save.
