From my personal observations and keeping up with the Amiibo subreddit, Nintendo already has been doing restocks of a lot of the older Amiibo. Yesterday at Best Buy, I found a bunch of re-issued Pacman Amiibo for sale!

Those have become hard to get.
Also I did notice a couple Link and Samus amiibo from the first Smash series at a local gamestop. So they might be restocking a couple popular characters here and there.
Yeah, same. Saw some LoZ and Mario etc. ones here as well. Didn't buy any because they are terribly overpriced where I live so yeah no.
I don't think they've told us when they're rereleasing them

Oh also unannounced amiibo show up on here every now and then so it's worth checking out regularly lol
I would go on Ebay but it's waaay too sketchy. You could order somethin and they ship you nothing then what do you do? You can't PROVE that they sent you nothing.
Went to Best Buy and a GameStop today and was very disappointed in the amiibo selection. Didn't find what I want.
Maybe I should go on Amazon. I read that any Monster Hunter amiibo works with unlocking Felyne. Is that true? Any one? I've only seen the one eyed raflos used for Felyne. I would order the Zelda ones I need first thou. I image that the Monster Hunter ones would be expensive, like the Sanrio cards X_X cri

I've bought nearly all of my Splatoon amiibos on eBay and it's worked fine. I wouldn't worry too much.
Also, I remember seeing on a YouTube thumbnail that Nintendo was releasing this huge amiibo pack for Smash. Don't take my word, though. I'm not interested in Smash and I just scrolled past it- I have no idea if it was just clickbait.

My issue with amiibos is that they produce new ones too quickly and abandon their last designs. Clearly there is high demand for some models, but they make so few that they leave the market open to scalpers when they could make so much more profit by just producing more.
The issue I have isn't that they keep releasing new ones and abandoning new designs, but more so that subsequent releases all do different things...And some of them have more significant content locked behind them than others (such as harder difficulties...WTF, Nintendo?)
I remember the original sales pitch being that if I bought a Link amiibo then that's it, I'll unlock Link themed things in all future games. Well, that was only partially true, because I have to buy like 12 friggin' different Link amiibo because they all unlock different things in different games.
I don't mind different models for collection sake and I would buy multiple amiibo that do the exact same thing, but they should really all do the same thing in game, especially when Nintendo can't be bothered to print enough or reprint the damn things. The
Smash reprints are about the only ones I've heard about, and it still surprises me they are 'apparently' doing that since even with a new game I thought they wouldn't bother. As for other series, I doubt we're ever gonna get more Callie and Marie or Pearl and Marina any time ever.

I'm tempted to just go on Amazon and order them all now, even if some are a bit higher than Nintendo's 12 or 13$ re-issue price. I have the ones I want in my cart, and the grand total is 75 somethin ?_? Thou I think I can knock 1 or 2 out, I just carted them for easy look up.
@koopasta my dad just told me about the Smash amiibo ack he saw, with Mario. I thought he was talking about the lack with Mario, Bowser and Peach from Odyssey in their wedding gear, but apparently not. I have yet to see it with my own eyes thou.

Got Marina and Pearl despite not being able to use them yet. I left Pearl in the box and put her in the closet.
