Where do you get scallops?

I see pascal all the time but I never have a scallop in my inventory. I know you get them on the beach, but is it completely random?

Also what day and what time does Gulliver hover above the town? Thanks.

The shells that you find near the beach are completely random.

Gulliver comes on a random day (Monday-Thursday) and normally in the second or third row of acres. Gulliver normally comes when the minutes on the clock end in 2 or 7. But only in the first 10 minuets of every hour.

I never seen ol' gulli.
I thought he had been written out. So he still in UFO, also he appears at night

Scallops show up randomly on the beach. What I do so I wont get caught without one when Pascal shows up is that I keep 2 scallops on each bridge in my town.

They look the same as a sand dollar does when it is on the ground.
