Where do you store things if your house storage is full?

Just curious, where do you guys end up storing things if your house storage is full?
(My current dilemma at the moment lol)

I've been dropping my crafting supplies in the spare rooms I haven't started decorating yet, lol.

Oof. That's my constant battle ever since the tailor shop opened.
I started putting things in my yard and floor while powering through debt. I also shave off some items from storage if I don't think I'll use it for a while, but I'm bad at downsizing. haha

If you have lots of raw materials in storage, you can always use them to craft things to sell!

What do you guys do with clothing as well? Do you keep them or sell them?

Hasn't happened to me yet as I've been selling as I go along but I'd just sell anything that can be reordered or crafted.

just throw it outside my house lol. i'm such a hoarder i do need to declutter my storage to be honest.. i just got the upstairs room house upgrade and that doubled up my storage so i think i'll be okay for a while now.

I only keep clothes and resources in my storage. Anything I don't place get sold (unless you can't rebuy it). But when I go to a Nook Miles island I usually place my inventory at the beach to be able to catch as many tarantulas as possible with only the necessary tools.

In New Leaf, I made other characters to store things. I really hope I don't have to do that here. If I get to that point, I will probably sell everything I'm not currently using that I can reorder.

I drop them on the floor or sell furniture I don't think I'll use in the future. So far, there's cherry blossom petals and stars on the floor of my house.

I hope they come up with a patch where they at least have a storage bin outside for materials. I literally have rocks and wood etc everywhere

Someone on Twitter shared a little outdoor crafting corner they made by their house to store materials for easy crafting, so I made one for myself to keep a lot of my mats! I think placing them on a bench keeps your island safe from the "too much clutter!" complaint, but don't quote me on that.

I take a loan and upgrade my house. Lol. No, really I do. But I’m more into cataloguing items rather than keeping something I won’t use. I’ll buy and then sell any orderable furniture that I won’t use in my house. I also buy and sell orderable clothes I won’t be using. So I only keep in my storage non-orderable stuff and lots of resources. And the clothes I like to wear.

This is the most annoying part of the game so far. Just give us bottomless storage, is that so hard? I really don't want to go back to the old AC trope of filling museum rooms with crap.
