Octavian was gone from the campsite last evening, so he won't be moving into town. At least he left the site nice and tidy. I'm curious to see who will be stopping by next.

I haven't seen any sign of Shrunk since I returned his signature sheet to him. He said he'd be opening the club in the basement and that I could stop by anytime to see how it was progressing, but there's a chain across the steps and it doesn't look particularly safe, anyway. I hope the club opens before the villagers get too restless - they were very enthusiastic about having a club on Main Street.

I took a quick jaunt to the island last night because I needed to get a Stag Beetle for Mathilda. While I was there, I did a couple of tours to earn medals so I could get a few more hibiscus bushes. I planted them along the path. This will take a while, but that's okay. One thing I realized was that I had to widen the path to two squares. If I'd only kept it one square wide, there would be no way to pass villagers. Paths are supposed to make my life easier, but that would not be the case if I had to backtrack several times to open areas. At least I realized that before I had to sacrifice rows of bushes!

Other than that, I really took it easy and didn't do much. I got an Underwater Floor from Celeste that I put in my Exhibit Room, although I may transfer that to my bedroom at a later date. I also purchased the Silver Rod. Perhaps she'll have the Silver Net today.

I don't have any mayoral duties until this evening, so I parked myself down on the beach below my house and am hoping to get a nice tan today. Every hard-working mayor needs a break once in a while. :)
