Which features do you wish for New Horizons?

Hello guys,

I’m curious what kind of you features you wish in the game! So, what kind of features, where Nintendo didn’t thought about (or maybe they did haha) do you like?

My thoughts:
- Favourite designers on the designer unit in Able’s Sisters. So you get a list of your favorite designers.
- Craft multiple items per time.
- Maybe a sort of marketplace where people can upload their items for sale, and buy items from others. Think this would be really cool if it’s built in the game!

This is it for now, let me know which features you wish!
 
i would love the saneio items ftom ACNL back, but i doubt thatll happen.
Also, crafting in bulk and general QOL changes.

(fyi i dont know if im reading thus right correct me if im wrong, but i believe you can already favourite designers! try going to the machine and pressing x whilst on a designers pattern :) )
 
- Bigger island
- The locker we had in NL so we can carry more stuff when we go sell turnips in another island
- Customize doors and windows like in HHD
- Items that hang from the ceiling like in HHD
- Buy items in bulk
- More custom design slots.

The removal of crafting, and a return of NPC's like Gracie.

All NL items and features, including missing PWP's like the windmill, streetlamp types, and zen bell, house exteriors and size increase, plus house styles to return. (Items and furniture also)

The return of RV's to Harvey's island.

Tortimer island.

Mannequins.

Perfect fruit to make dead trees.

The post office and it's staff.

City Folk like city. Let us boat/ferry or even fly to the distant mainland where there is a city outlet where we can meet other villagers on (including past ones from our islands) and visit shops not on our island, like DJ KK, Dr Shrunk, HHA, Label, Brewster, Katrina, Reese and Cyrus, etc.

Option to turn off background music.

Open the gate from Nook Phone.

Bulk Crafting

New Nook's Cranny shop that sells all colors of furniture and sells fish bait

Even more hair options and emotes... The villagers can double wave, dance, and lift dumbbells. We can't.

Allow us to remove clothing from villagers

Allow us to decorate their homes like in HHD.

More design slots.
No more sharing design slots

More than 1 island per Switch
 
- More than 1 island per Switch;

- Bring back Brewster and Dr. Shrunk (move K.K. to The Roost, and let Shrunk perform there as well twice a week);

- Expand Harv's Island so we can have a reason to go there more often, maybe have Flick and CJ live there and let them have their own bug/fish model shop;

- A third expansion of Nook's Cranny and possibly, the addition of a second floor in Able's where Label could sell her exclusive clothes;

- Bring back morning aerobics and some mini-games;
 
I would really love some more custom design slots! I feel so scared to use mine, since they're so limited! I would also really love if they chilled out on how many flowers respawned after rainfall. I'm getting a little tired of constantly digging up flowers. Also, I know more stuff is coming, but I would really love some more normal furniture! I really miss the NL sets, and only getting season-specific furniture is kinda frustrating. It's difficult to use, so it ends up jut taking up space in my inventory :/ . Also I would love if we could get some of the pocket camp items! The stuff in that game is AMAZING and I can think of so many things from my campsite in PC that I would LOVE to have decorating on my island!
 
Another vote for having more design slots! For a game that’s so design heavy, especially when it comes to outdoors, I can’t believe how few slots we actually have. I can’t imagine sharing the save slots with another person, too! I love that it’s split between clothes & regular designs but I wish they’d add more slots and bring back Mable storing designs.

I’m nervous to delete my seasonal paths incase the creator deletes it from their profile because then they’ll be gone but I don’t have enough room for four separate seasonal paths and my other designs!

I’d love to see other NPCs return too. I miss Kapp’n and his little songs and I miss Tortimer and his island! The mini games made online play with friends really fun and I hope they come back. I’d love to see Gracie come back as well!

Store upgrades. Please, I’m begging Nintendo for some store upgrades. Put all the Able sisters back together, upgrade Nooks so they sell me more than 3 items a day. I know it’s an island and some people don’t want the island filled with shops but I miss Kicks & Leif being permanent shops too!

More furniture sets! Goes with having Nooks upgraded but gosh do I ever want more furniture. I love decorating my island but I also want to furnish my house! I’d love some more complete sets available for purchase.

Id love to see more hairstyles in the future too! 🥰

Hey about the paths... I used 3 brick patterns around the island and 2 versions of “the path”.What I think is very useful because all the “the paths” are build up the same way u can simple replace them per season/holiday or if u just want a new look. Most of the time you path directions won’t change, only the design. Keep you designer code in a phone or something to change back after the season by replacing the designs. Fast and useful I think!
 
I really miss having your old villagers visit the plaza in ACNL and them reminiscing about when they lived in your town. It's kind of a bummer that when you come across old villagers on islands in ACNH they don't remember you at all.
 
there are a bunch of little things I'd love for them to add to the game!
  • more design slots - I have maybe 2 or 3 left right now since I've been really saving them but I'd love to have more so that I can start putting up some signs on my island
  • crafting multiple items at the same time - especially with things like fences, log stakes, and any other decorations that you need multiples of to use. this would also be really useful for people who want to craft a bunch of tools for the crafting and breaking nook miles achievements
  • being able to pull materials from the storage when crafting - on the crafting selection screen we get a little indicator when we already have the item we are about make in storage, so I don't see why not add the feature to see how much of the needed materials you have in storage and even being able to pull from them
  • buying things in bulk - 5 isn't enough a lot of the time. this is especially true of leif's shrubs if you're trying to switch them out at the beginning of the next season, and of the customizing kits in nooks that I try to have a stack of at all times
  • probably my biggest one - accessing storage outside. I'd love for them to add certain items that we can place outside that let us access our storage without having to run all the way home. similar to the closets etc giving us access to the changing room no matter where we are.
 
I have mentioned this elsewhere before and know it's super unlikely (and not popular from what I have seen before), but I would really love to be able to decorate by month and have the decorations be automatically stored and reapplied.

So, for instance, I could put my Toy Day decorations up in December and take them down in January, and the game would automatically have them up just for December every following year. I think this would work best with some kind of dedicated town storage to store town decorations. I want this feature so badly, because I would be much more willing to decorate in a seasonal way if the game automatically saved my decorations for future years and put them away for me.

I think that the best implementation of this would let you place items directly from town storage using the sort of controls you can use when decorating rooms, and anything placed this way would automatically be applied to the current month for future years.
 
I'd like to be able to store plants. And redesign resident's interiors.

Otherwise, I am delighted with the game

Whatever furniture they want to add is always fun
Storing plants and DIYs and random QOL updates
