Which game has the best villager interactions?

Just curious what all of you think! I always had it in my head that the Gamecube villagers were the best but I recently replayed every game and I feel like it’s actually Wild World?
It had similarly good dialogue to the Gamecube version but the hobby system was greatttt I remember now how Olivia always specifically wanted to collect white furniture and ask me for help with that, it made them seem unique

Yeah Wild World doesn’t have much else but tbh I’m really enjoying just chatting to my villagers in that one

Oooh and this is the first game where you can listen in on conversations too I think!!!

I haven't played Wild World, so of the games I've played I would have to say the GameCube. But I've heard so many good things about the villager interactions in Wild World that I feel like I really need to check it out at some point because that's the main reason I play Animal Crossing. I also love the idea of learning more about the NPCs and getting into their backstories, which I've heard is also something from Wild World.

i haven’t played wild world in ages but the dialogue was really good - i miss how specific villagers hobbies were and how they would still bully you a bit but maybe not to the extent that they did in population growing aha
