I'm making a little animation, and there is a part where one of the few survivors of the apocalypse is going through an abandoned library. I have chosen a couple songs that are somewhat calming, yet they have an uneasy feel to them. Here are the links:

Court and Page:

Thank you so much for doing this! Be sure to say which is the best, and maybe why it is :p

NOTE: Please do not pick one based on which is your personal favorite. While choosing, think about which would fit the best in an apocalyptic setting that isn't that dangerous, but isolated and unsettling. I'll post the finished product in the thread when I'm done
Thank you, again!

EDIT: Here's the finished video! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UeZBjYBqcVg

Wow was this a hard choice! Honestly, you cannot go wrong. Not one of these songs doesn't fit the theme you're going with.

For me personally, I'd go with:

Court and Page:

By Silent Partner

or

Lasting Hope
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3InKcGS7V5Y
By Kevin MacLeod

or

Lightless Dawn
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6E5uY08HThc
By Kevin MacLeod

or

Deep Space
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PXZ9vpS7EzM
Audionautix

My top pick out of those four would be:

Lasting Hope

By Kevin MacLeod

I'm looking forward to seeing it when it's done! ^_^ Hope I helped!

In any remotely dangerous situation, this is my anthem.

I can only imagine this in an apocalypse if the protagonist has just come out of an old fuel station looking for supplies to see a Wastelander war car speeding away, grabbing a note they left on the floor that says "wii hav ur wive, bringe uz da muneh" before clenching the note in his fist and hopping in his trusty rusty pickup truck.

Plot twist: he doesn't even have a wife.

To people suggesting alternate songs: the OP, judging by their selection, is only looking to use songs under Creative Commons licenses. These songs are free to use along as you abide by certain conditions. The songs that have been suggested are protected by copyright and therefore can't be used unless they go through the effort of obtaining written permission to use them.

I'll give these a listen later.

Oh yeah, true. I forgot to mention that. As they said, please only choose from the list, as they're royalty free.

This is awesome, I totally love your question and will answer seriously.

First choice:
Lightless Dawn
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6E5uY08HThc
By Kevin MacLeod

Reason: This one is my preference for such a situation. The thing is, however, it kind of radiates this feeling of 'mystery' to me as if there's more to the apocalypse. The background sounds are kind of 'wooden' and as such, would fit a library I think.

Second choice:
Deep Space
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PXZ9vpS7EzM
Audionautix

Reason: Radiates spaciness, loneliness, can't get a grip on the situation, entering the unknown, may be good if the library is more open and if your video has a darker feeling to it.

Personally I'd avoid anything with a smooth guitar; too warm and soothing.

Why are these people walking through a library? Are they searching for something?

Everything was really close, but after reviewing each song over the footage, I decided to go with Minor with Cricket. Your inputs really helped. Thanks! The video will be posted here when editing is finished

Almost went with Court and Page, but Minor with Cricket beat it just barely! I'll post finished product when, well, finished.
