Which watering can do you prefer?

I pretty much exclusively used the gold watering can, so my vote is for that one, but I can see the appeal for the silver! I just preferred the gold one since it could water more flowers, and I often watered my flowers. The longer animation never bothered me personally and I thought it was cute. I also became so used to it that I only remembered it had a longer watering animation from reading this thread lol.

I love using the silver tools (though those are the only ones I've unlocked), and the gold doesn't really fit the look I'm currently planning for my town

My issue with the Golden Watering Can is that the developers decided on some frivolous display that makes watering flowers slower than it really needed to be, especially if the plants are placed in a way that could easily be watered with just the Silver Watering Can alone. The GWC animation might still be short, but it's twice as long as just watering with the other cans, so why would you make an entirely different animation that's longer when the ones in City Folk all had the same exact sequence while still functioning the same way? The Silver one actually ends up being more useful because its quicker animation gives it more utility. It doesn't make much sense, but this is Nintendo, so of course they make nonsensical decisions. All. The. Time.

I just don't understand this design choice. Did they do this just so people could keep using Silver Tools as a sort of niche? Why should that apply to the Watering Can?

To be honest, this is like asking me to pick a favourite child. I love both of them a lot, and while I know some (a lot) of people hate how long the gold one takes, I actually quite like it

Silver is beautiful but I have worked SO hard over the years and the gold tools are such an achievement. I love using it and the cute animation!
