Ugh, i keep forgetting that this species exists.... probs my least favorite out of all the species....
BEST: Bertha. The only hippo (along with Biff and probably Bubbles) that i actually like. Her design is cute and simple, suiting her personality well. I would have put Biff higher if it wasnt for his picture quote.....
WORST: Everyone else. The hippos just DONT suit me at all. I would gladly pass up any of the others not mentioned above.
i chose bitty because i just like her atm, she's really cute and i love pink, plus she looks like kabae from aggretsuko
i also like bertha and biff, they have really nice colours
worst hippo, aka the worst villager to ever exist would be hippeux! i actually despise hippeux, he is a monstrocity!!!
i also dislike bubbles but just because she put her house on the only hybrids i had in NL
My favorite Hippo villager is Hippeux. As a Smug, he has my favorite male villager personality. His design is one of the most distinct among the Hippos and I personally like it, and I like the interior design of his house.
Not really that into the Hippos, but Bitty is all right and would probably be second.
My least favorite Hippo is Harry. I had him as one of my villagers during the short time I played City Folk and never really liked his design.
Bertha is my favourite hippo, she was my first normal villager in NH and I thought she was sweet, though she isn't one I'd be interested in permanently so I wasn't too happy when she randomly moved herself back onto my island a few months later. Most of the other hippos are alright but they're probably one of my least favourite species in game just because I don't really think any of them stand out as been very interesting or cute
My least favourite would have to be Harry, I really dislike his design and I'm not keen on facial hair on villagers as it doesn't usually look right on most of them, also he has a nasty habit of turning up when I'm island hopping. I also dislike Hippeux solely for his colouring, the green is an odd shade and makes him look unwell to me.
I’ve never had a hippo villager on my island but I actually like them a lot.
I think bubbles is really really cute - I like her hair- and Biff looks very grumpy cuddly.
I really like Rocco as well, and Bertha and Bitty are also quite sweet looking.
even Harry, though I do not usually like villagers with facial hair, looks surprisingly cute.
i don’t really dislike him, but hippeux has kind of a mean expression which puts me off a bit. But I think maybe I have never/ only once on a mystery island months ago seen him in game, and probably he looks better there. (Omg I just looked him up and his favorite expression is ‘mottos are for the unoriginal’ that’s so funny)
I love the hippo design! Bubbles is probably my favorite villager on my island right now; she’s cute and full of personality without being over the top. I also like Biff, Rocco, and Harry. The others are fine, but too much human-styled hair on a villager always looks a little off to me.

Worst Harry. Sorry I can't get over the way they did the facial hair on this one....
I voted for Biff. I like his rust color, his thick eyebrows and big eyes. He's one Hippo that I'd be happy to have. Rocco would be my second choice because I think his grumpy expression and eyelashes are pretty funny.
I think the only hippo I don't like at all is Harry. His beard makes him look dirty, which is kind of ironic given that his interior is a bathroom.
Uh, I voted for Bertha, even tho I don't like animals with hair. Which is hard in this game, since so many have hair.
Least favorite are Hippeaux and Harry. I don't like Hippeaux's chartreuse coloring. And Harry's facial hair makes me uncomfortable, especially paired with the camo shirt.
I don't have any favorites from this species, but looking at them all I think Biff looks nice. I like his appearance.
Worst looking hippo is Hippeux for me. I don't like the colors that were used in his design, in my opinion they don't match well.
I lovee bubbles! She was one of my starters and I ran out of villagers I wanted to kick out in order to get Audie and I felt so bad when I kicked her out! Especially when I checked my mailbox after a week or so of not checking and I had mail from her saying how she loved being besties. I ended up getting her amiibo and might bring her to my second island that I just started.
It’s so hard to choose between Rocco and Bubbles but I guess I’ll go with Rocco? I had him in my city folk town and now he’s on my island. The hippos are so cute and even cuter in new horizons. Hippos are also my favorite animal irl so of course I like them.
