Here's mine in order of importance.

- Rosie

At risk of sounding basic and boring ..
- Merengue. She was a random move in on NL, and two weeks ago when I reset NH, she was on my first mystery island tour. Wasn’t looking for her, but I couldn’t resist.
- Sherb. The literal second ticket, Sherb was there. I have a soft spot for lazies, I wasn’t planning on hunting for him and the outside of his house doesn’t match my aesthetic, but I think he’s staying for good.
- Melba. Original NL neighbor, I love her and I’m so glad she’s getting more hype these days in NH.
- Hazel. Original NL villager, first uchi I ever had, didn’t like her originally, but she grew on me. I’ve liked my starting uchis in NH just fine but not as much as her.
- Wolfgang. Haven’t had him as a neighbor since WW, but he was one of my originals, and the first villager I ever got a picture of. Looking back I’m astounded because I had no idea what I was doing and was probably gifting him nothing but seashells and native fruit.

This is a tough question. I guess my 5 favorites are the ones that I can't bear to allow to leave. It's complicated by the fact that some of them are difficult to get back since they don't have Amiibo cards (for me that's currently Raymond, Reneigh, and Dom). If I take them out of the equation and only consider villagers for which Amiibo are available, I think my top five are Colton, Sterling, Knox, Pekoe, and Genji. Poppy is close but I move her in and out. Ditto for Muffy.

Coco, Rodeo, Melba, Del, Hans are prob my favorite five, but it's really tough to narrow it down! Coco and Rodeo are easy for me, but after those two it gets a little more hazy. I hate to leave out Fauna, Lolly, Tia, Antonio, Stitches, Hopkins, Goldie, Dobie, Ruby...

This whole list except tabby kind of feels like a lie because I am having a weird crisis of confidence in knowing who my faves are for some reason.

I also really treasure Maple and Molly. I have a lot of villagers I find cute but don’t really connect with as much. Some I really like having around and stay for a long time in my island but when I have to rank they don’t make the highest list. I find it very surprising at times how they’re all pixels and you’d think appearances or popularity will matter the most or be the biggest factors but it’s weird how some villagers just appeal more to your heartstrings than others regardless of tiers and appearances.

1. Mitzi, the first villager I ever met in the whole series, and the first repeat villager I had across games (she was the first or second move-in on my Wild World town). She is also, in my opinion, the cutest villager in the series too!
2. Rizzo. I first met him in the GameCube version, but got him in my City Folk town shortly after getting that game. It was in that town that he became a fast favorite. He is a criminally underrated villager with a great design.
3. Rosie. Another cute villager who became an immediate favorite of mine. The Animal Crossing movie helped solidify that position too.
4. Blaire. One of my starting villagers in my first City Folk town. She won my heart almost right from the start.
5. Whitney. A starting villager in my second City Folk town. Not initially a favorite of mine though I did like her, but the Animal Crossing movie gave her that boost onto my top 5 list.
