Who here isn't blessed with new 3ds's, switches, and pc's?

I use my school chromebook, which I charge with my classmate's chargers, for the majority of my viewing on this website. Sometimes, I'll use my google pixel phone if the chromebook is dead, but that's a last resort because mobile browsing is evil. I've had my 3ds since 2011, and I prefer older consoles.

Nowadays, video gaming is getting too complex for me. Pc gaming is great, because nearly all of it can be done on steam. I'll be able to build my own pc in a month, which really excites me. I don't like how complex consoles are getting. Stuff like the switch, wii u, and latest xbox and playstation overwhelms me. They've gone from being used to playing games to being used for so much more!!

Just thinking about the switch overwhelms me. It's so complicated! It has memberships and browsers and aaaagh

I'm rambling anyways post about your thoughts on tech getting more advanced and expensive

I have recently bought a wooden spoon that the people from long ago used to eat pudding. The ancient ones were wise ones, yes.

i have never used a switch or any modern consoles for anything but gaming so i dont see the issue youre having

Heh. Yes. Until a year ago my only devices were a dinosaur pc (running vista *shiver*), and a ds lite. Now I have a job, but I've noticed that I've only upgraded my devices. The dinosaur was replaced with a laptop, the ds lite with a 2ds xl. Switch? Wii U? Meh. I suppose I'm old and senile. Yes with my wooden spoon too.

I coud see the Xbox and PlayStation being overwhelming since there's so many other features than just playing the games, but the Switch is literally only used for gaming. I don't think there's any other features really. You just pop the game in and play

I got a refurbished Dell laptop a couple of years ago because I prefer the old Windows ISO to Window 10. Windows 10 seems complicated for PC, it seems a better for a phone imo. I still have my first 3DS, and would have my DS Lite if it isn't currently broken :( Other than those two devices, I'm up to date per se in devices. I had always been drawn to console gaming, other than only playing Wii and Nintendo 64 when I was younger, so I took the opprotunity to try out the Playstation and I enjoyed it : P You may think it's complicated but it's actually really organized with it's applications. The only thing I don't really like are really complicated games that have so many features to begin with. Such a high learning curve : / Idk they make me not want to try them out, lol, I guess I can be a lazy gamer : P

I'm lucky enough to have the resources to get new consoles but I usually only buy whatever Nintendo is throwing at me. I do use both my laptop and my pc for gaming as well.

However, I still use my "retro" consoles and tbh I play on my older consoles more than I do my newer ones. I play on everything from nes to my ps1 and all the sega's in between. I just get more joy from playing older games and the nostalgia is amazing

I really just don't need all that extra freedom and things to do on newer consoles I don't need netflix on my playstation and i don't need youtube on my switch

right now the switch just collects dust waiting for the Yoshi game to arrive luckily I'm in a position to afford new consoles and games when they come out but i don't really get the same amount of joy in new consoles as i do with older ones

memememememe!

I don't have any 'modern' consoles like the switch or anything else.
I also have an iphone 5s, and use a laptop that still has windows 7. I don't plan on changing it any time soon either!

I've said for a long time that the only thing that would get me to buy a switch is a new animal crossing game and I'm still sticking by it. But in reality, the only thing that keeps me from buying one is how expensive it is. Rather than being old-fashioned or anything.
I don't really want to spend $300 on a console plus $60 a pop for games. I'm just not really in a place where that's money i want to spend right now.

Does the iPhone 6 count as ancient? This phone model is too perfect for me, I refuse to upgrade to a new one lol.
