So...I was in the wiki for animal crossing one day and I found a section about some character that the villagers just...mention and...that's is. If any one, and I mean ANY ONE knows what I am talking about than please, what is this person's name!?!

In the post the wiki said the villager said the name when they were sick, the villager said, "I hope _______ will come down and ease my pain" Or something like that, I know this isn't 'exactly' what the villager said but it's the closest thing in my head as to what the post said.

All I remember was the name began with 'M', I put in Morgan and nothing showed, I swear it was Morgan but it wasn't...?

Please help me this is driving me insane just thinking about it.

I tried searching up the possible quotes villagers say when they are sick, so the missing word could quite possibly be "Medicine" or a Mayor's name.
You probably have the phrase wrong because the only NPCs that start with "M" are Mabel and Mr. Resetti, neither of which could help with sickness, and I doubt that they would be calling for another villager. . .

Moppina is an unseen object that normal villagers occasionally refer to in conversation in Animal Crossing: Wild World, reflecting upon their reserved and shy nature. The mop is revealed to be the best friend of a normal villager, and after conversations between two normal villagers will reveal that Moppina is a good friend of any normal villager in the town, but is never seen. When talking to other normal characters, it is revealed they both talk to it, try out hairstyles on it and even cook with it. Normal characters also talk to snooty types about Moppina, but not with as much success. When they talk to peppy villagers about Moppina, the peppy villager asks if they can meet her. Moppina is mentioned in Maple's picture in Wild World. Moppina is unseen but is known to be just an average mop that normal villagers talk about because of their obsessive cleaning nature. When normal villagers are given medicine when they are ill, they mention sending a letter to Moppina saying that the player made them alright again.

My god...I think I get it now...

I now this sounds crazy considering this is animal crossing but every game has SOME kind of secret that the developers put in and don't expect any one to care about, like Golden Freddy in FNAF, I mean think about it...

Moppina is believed to be a 'mop' because of the 'normal' villagers cleaning habits, which I guess makes sense but I have never seen a 'normal' villager do anything that involves cleaning. Maybe it's because I have City Folk or something I don't know.

Moppina is the 'best friend' of any villager with a 'normal' personality, I know the easy argument is; "Well the person is shy so they made up an imaginary friend". But if every villager with a normal personality has the exact same Moppina as their best friend than that would certainly leave some questions don't ya think?

Maple + Moppina = BFF!, That's a little...odd...Maple has this photo that says this just lying in her house, this may not prove my point but the wiki doesn't say that it's only Maple that talks about Moppina but every 'normal' villager talks about her, maybe not in normal conversation but they at least mention her.

Moppina is never seen, ever in Wild World. She may be imaginary but why would every 'normal' villager know about her and say she's their best friend? I know technical people will say; "It's in their A.I. to say that". But what if it wasn't?

'Normal' villagers send letters to Moppina saying they're okay when they recover from being sick, this is really strange if Moppina isn't a real animal or human right?

Conclusion 1:

Moppina lives in a place that has not been revealed to us yet and is simply a therapist of some kind or is just a friendly neighbor to 'normal' villagers before they moved to our towns and can communicate with them all via letters.

Conclusion 2:

Moppina is the imaginary friend of every single 'normal' villager in Wild World.

Conclusion 3:

Moppina is a type of other worldly being that watches over/protects/takes care of the 'normal' villagers.

This is just my silly opinion but if any of these peek your interest than go ahead and leave a reply or something saying what you think about this. Or don't and just pretend this person doesn't exist, your choice not mine.
