Hiii!! I had Pietro move in today and went to welcome him to my island. And guess what, he says he comes from an island named Solitude! So that means I picked him up from somebody on here (I haven't traded with anyone outside of this site aside from my aunt and that's not her island's name).

Idk how, I thought you had to talk to a villager to have them potentially move to your town, but I don't talk to folks villagers when I do trades. Sorry if this seems silly, but I honestly can't remember who may have that island name or not and I wanna know!

I had a picture of him saying that, but deleted it by accident. ;w;

I don't know if it's anything like NL, but you could pick up a voided villager. Someone who moved out of their NL town, but was kind of in limbo in some storage before they get deleted from the memory. And so if someone visits they could have the chance of having them show up in their town. Could be the same with NH.

Pietro from the island never got adopted by another player and got placed into your moved in queue. He moved onto your island cause you had an empty plot for too long. I had picked up 5 villagers from the people here so far and had them moved in.

I ended up getting Limberg that way in NL. That mouse and his five-o-clock shadow...creepy.

I'm not sure if this is the case for everybody, but I'm finding NH to be very unforgiving with the amount of time a plot remains 'for sale'. If I don't go island hopping for a villager the very next day after someone moves out, I get a rando from someone's void moving in.

Luckily, so far I've gotten 2 villagers I'd never pick for myself (Francine and Chrissy)...so at least I got to try them out for a bit.

I don't know about voided villagers, but I ended up getting a random villager right away when I bought one of the home lots from Nook. Didn't even get the chance to island hop.
