Wow. So Wild World was originally going to be almost identical to the GameCube version, with the exception of acres (Probably weren't developed yet) and it had online multiplayer. What's that weird disk-like thing in Annie's inventory? Is it a redesign for K.K. songs, perhaps? Or maybe a villager item, like the ones that you do jobs with. What do you think of Wild World originally being like GameCube?

It's just my opinion, so please don't bash on me for it, but I think that it was a rather dumb idea to change the game mid-way. Wild World took the Animal Crossing series, and completely revamped it into something incredibly bland, with the music being absurdly watered down and the choice of rolling worlds instead of acres. In my opinion, literally the only good thing to come from Wild World was more character customization and patterns being put on the floor. If it ain't broke, don't fix it, and GameCube certainly wasn't broke IMO. To this day it angers me, but there's nothing that can be done about it, so oh well. At least New Leaf made up for it by adding tons of new features. Still, City Folk and New Leaf could've been better if they went on like this. If they didn't take Animal Crossing and make it something completely different. This is all my opinion though, so I'm sorry if you found them too harsh.

Also, based off of the video, I think the gameplay would've been much better, also...

Nintendo made a move in the wrong direction, in my eyes.

I know. The only redeeming quality to come from Wild World was added character customization and online play. But the series as a whole had taken a completely different direction. Compare GameCube with Wild World and it's like you're looking at two completely different games, minus the fact that they have the same characters. And the music department severely dropped. GameCube's music was like an amazing fruit punch, and Wild World's is like water with fruit juice squeezed into it. It looks like they changed from the quirky and fun tone from the first game in favor of being "cutesy" in less than one game. But oh well, what's done is done. At least New Leaf greatly made up for WW and CF's disappointments. (But man I really do want GameCube on the go with internet like the early screens suggested)

Here's a neat find. A HQ version of the mushroom pattern.

LOL WHAT GAMEPLAY THERE WAS PRACTICALLY NOTHING.

I KNOW THERE WAS PRACTICALLY NO GAMEPLAY

I guess what could really be said was that the controls would have been smoother, and, also, the PWPs from Dobutsu No Mori e+ probably would've made a comeback, had they continued in the development of the beta in a more Animal Crossing: Population Growing fashion.

I can't say I like the rolling pin camera, in fact I hate it. It's not like I can't deal with not having acres anymore, I can handle that. But I wish the camera were positioned better like it was on the GC and that the land was flat to give it a more immersive feel. The concept of walking on a rolling pin and knowing that I am is just annoying to the Umpth degree.

... i like this version
I wish they continued this
I would have liked to see the outcome
I mean the viking hats
they should burn

Heh, GC music is awesome <3
TBH, I think that is WW was more like ACGC,it would have been better >->
