So I decided I would give Harvey's Island a visit and check out Photopia.
As I walk into Harvey's "photo suite" I see a dark couch with lights and a directors chair... oh boy. Did Nintendo know? They knew what they were doing right?

He gives me major creep vibes. I know everyone is hating on Zipper T Bunny or thinks he is creepy. But really, who is worse?
i think harvey looks really cute but the house in photopia was actually really weird, but honestly though to me zipper is the creepiest thing in this game
I feel like Zipper's still the creepy one. We'll never know who he really is, but he'll always be someone in a suit trying to parade as an actual Easter bunny (as long as anyone's on-screen). I've never fought of Harvey as creepy though.
Harvey's always been a hippie, even in New Leaf's Welcome amiibo update, so there's no surprise there.
Would be a nice surprise if he's actually the one (or at least, one of many) who helped design the artwork for K.K. Slider's various singles.
When I saw the thread title I thought "Harvey isn't creepy, just cringey" and then I read what you meant by creepy and YEAH HIS ISLAND IS DEFINITELY CREEPY!
Oh, Harvey's absolutely creepier. When you scan the amiibo in they just.. Stand there like dolls. Creepy dolls that won't talk to you. The whole sitch gives me he heebie jeebies.
zipper is creepy in appearance and in appearance alone. if you step out of zipper's line of sight, he takes a deep sigh and walks around normally like every other villager/npc
it's also very important to remember that zipper is referenced pretty often as just someone wearing a bunny suit. he's someone performing as the easter bunny for all of our entertainment, somewhat like a sports mascot or a mall santa.
harvey meanwhile invites you to his own private island to enter his 6 room house to take pictures of yourself and/or the villagers on your island. dude's a grade a creep.
Guys.... zipper legit scares me. The way he STARES at you and follows your every move when you're around him. And that hop from side to side over and over and over again makes my skin crawl lol. Tbh I'm happy I found this post because I thought I was the only one!!
I don't find either one of them creepy. I mean, Harvey is just a stoned-out hippy and reminds me more of Leo from That 70s Show than anything else. I can see why people would find Zipper creepy, but I just think of him as a funny bunny.
I'm pretty indifferent on Harvey (I don't like him or dislike him) but I don't think he's creepy.
I'm not creeped out by Zipper either but he definitely gives me Robbie the Rabbit vibes which is a little weird!! lol
What I do find a little creepy is that time that Shrunk stated Nook is wearing a raccoon suit but I think it was just a play on how he's actually a tanuki and not a raccoon.
tbh I don't mind zipper, he's got a bit of weird face but I more feel bad for him than anything- Harvey however, I was NOT expecting his island to be a 6 bedroom photography suite with a casting couch and bright lights- did Nintendo know what they were doing?
