just for looks & the fun of collecting. it also encourages me to be active on here in terms of posting in other threads that aren't just for in game item trading + buying haha~
I personally collect them because they look cool (especially with the right avatars and signatures being paired with them!) and also because they are worth more TBT than hoarding in-game stuff. Essentially, by selling a few decent collectibles (worth 1k+ each), you have all the TBT you will need for most in-game projects.
Because they’re cute and I really like the way they look in the sidebar. When they match with your avatar and your signature, you can create a really strong aesthetic. I’ve only recently started actively collecting them, so I don’t have a great lineup or anything yet, but it’s been fun, and looking at the ones I do have makes me happy!I don’t usually post long stuff, so it takes me a long time to earn tbt, but I’ve gotten a few collectibles I like! (My newest bb is the togepi egg! I’ve wanted it for the longest time and it’s so cute <3)
They don’t really do anything, they’re just kind of a flex. My favorite collectible isn’t even visible though I’d kill to display my valentine’s roses in my sidebar!
I love them because they make my profile more attractive I guess? It's the hunt. It is also the flex in a very real sense, but not real because they are just pixels. I think I'm addicted, please help .-.
For me it's a nice addition to whatever aesthetic I've got going on. My currently displayed lineup is mostly there because I think it looks really nice (I've always wanted a Kirby egg and now I have two and it looks great with the spring sakuras, and I really like the fruit collectibles). I have rainbow candy/birthstone lineups as well because I really like rainbows, and I have all the arcade collectibles (including the tetris grid) because I love the arcade/80s/vaporwave aesthetic!
I don't really mean for my collectibles to be a flex. I see them as another way to express my interests just like my avatar and signature!
They look really cool ;;>_>
So I made a dream lineup and since I'm a perfectionist, I also decided on a message for each collectible lmao
Basically now I'm really just trying to work towards that specific lineup also in an attempt of refraining myself from trying to get every single nice-looking collectible i see
I never understood the point of collectibles when I joined almost 7 years ago. I just started collecting it now because I guess it's fun to collect them... and it adds to the experience of me playing ACNH... (kinda odd I know)
I'm not sure why but when I was playing ACNL I didn't really feel much of a void, but with ACNH it kinda does, so collecting the collectibles fills that for me?
