Why is terraforming so hard?!

Maybe I'm just reiterating what others have said, but there's just a learning curve. With enough practice, what initially would have taken hours, involved multiple mistakes, and required poring over reference screenshots gradually begins to feel more natural and easy. Don't be afraid to experiment and mess up. Have fun with it, listen to your intuition about what looks nice, and know that even if you're overwhelmed now it only gets easier.

it took me a long while to get used to it and it still gets annoying for me sometimes. really you just gotta try and be patient. planning ahead helps a lot, but know that you're not gonna be able to get things exactly how you like. remember to take breaks if you get frustrated that helps alot too. <:3

It's definitely challenging and time consuming for sure. It's also not for everyone. My advice is focus on small projects first.

For my case, I already gave up doing major renovations in my island. I am only making minor changes to some sections.

I admit I did a bit of terraforming but I dont like doing it and find it difficult so my island is pretty much the same shape it was when I moved in and I just work with it as best as I can

they need to update it and add little arrows over where you're about to hit so that i won't accidentally destroy what i just spent 5 minutes creating (which has happened numerous times)

or just make it a flippin' god builder, like we have a god builder for our houses why not for the whole flippin islanisdfiseh w

I've barely done any cause I'm afraid I'm gonna mess something up and not be able to fix it. I wanted to change the shape of the little pond at the top of the river on the highest level(it was difficult to fish there as it was) and it drove me crazy. i could not get both sides to match and even the slighest change made it so much worse. i finally got it so it s half decent and i wont touch it again. also wanted to make my holding ponds heart shaped. i had one that was halfway there so i thought it would be easy. Boy was i wrong. luckily i found a video that gave step by step directions to do it otherwise i never would've managed it.
