Why isn't my gif working as an avatar?

I've try to upload it and use the HTML code, but neither seem to work?
Here's the GIF:

Any ideas as to why this is happening and how to fix it?

The link you have is to the imgur page with the image, not the actual image itself.
If you right click and choose "Copy Image Address", and paste the link, you'll get a page with just the image.

It seems like it'll work now, but the file's too large, so I'll see if I can find someone to resize it for me or I'll try myself!
