Whyyyyy won't my villagers leave?

They refuse to leave! I've been absolutely horrible to them and they still stick around. Ozzie pinged me and told me he was going to leave, then changed his mind because he wanted to get to know me better. I'm trying to get rid of him, Cyrano, Belle, and Rudy for weeks. They will. Not. Go.

Does anyone have any advice? I don't want to cycle because I have 4 dreamies in my town....

when they change their mind about moving, reset! don't save & quit! they will ping you again when you open your game again. they should agree to move, but if not, you can keep repeating doing this.

you can also just ignore their pings, TT to their move out date, and they will be in boxes. C:
