Please allow me to come to someone's town on Animal Crossing Wild World to see if I get Error Code 86420.
I will reply whether I was able to go or not.

I play Nintendo 3DS games on my Nintendo 3DS.
I still have my original Nintendo DS Lite to play Wi-Fi compatible Nintendo DS games and I am using the Nintendo Wi-Fi USB Connector that is plugged into my PC to connect.
My Router DOES have an option for WEP, but I think if I touch that, it will mess up the Home Connection.

I have my home computer set with a WPA key type password on my network connection.
It hasn't hurt my network connection at all.
Only way to hurt the connection is to have an differently encyrpted secondary password set up as well.
Which is impossible unless you known how to data hack the 6 different encyrption code types.
