Guest, you're invited to help build our new TBT time capsule! It contains three parts, with some of its elements planned to open in 2029 and others not until the distant future of 2034. Get started in 2024 Community Time Capsule: Blueprints.
Being mean initiates conversations that are building friendship, but at a slower rate than just simply befriending them.. Not only that, but being mean to them actually takes time in itself! Hitting them with your net and such is long and boring.. Talking to them whenever you see them's easier.. Charlise'll go eventually!
Do the tasks they ask for.. If they ask for fruit, preferably give them perfect fruit.. If they ask for fish, preferably give them a rarer fish.. Do their errands too, also, collecting signatures is a great way to build friendship too, provided they ask for it
i tried introducing myself and then never speaking to them again and it didn't work for me. about a week ago i would go up to my hated animal and talk to them but choose the second option (just saying hi or oh, it's nothing) and now the horrible little thing is leaving!!! i also beat her with my hammer, which i found to be enjoyable.
I have always found that when I talk to my favourite villagers and ignore the ones that I want to move, my favourite villagers are always the ones that ask to move. So I find that if I talk to my least favourite villagers they always ask to move
Befriending them is definitely best. Diana was one of my favourites and she was constantly asking to leave, whereas I ignored Pierce and it took me about a month or more for him to leave (he finally left today!)
So in my experience, befriending is the best way to get villagers out
Being mean is not the opposite of being nice, they are both ways of engaging in a friendship with a villager. To make them go away you should do the opposite of making a friendship, so the opposite of engaging in a conversation, which is ignoring them. Introduce yourself once, and than ignore.
talking to them once and then ignoring does not work. every time i try it they never even ask to leave. just talk to them, but choose the second option and hit them if you think it's fun (it is!!) that's what worked for me.
the introduce and ignore method has worked multiple times for me.. but i've also heard it could be completely random who asks to move out despite of friendship level :/
I still have two originals... Rowan and Rosie (and I started in late June!). Well, Hazel too, but she doesn't give her pic OR offer to move (but I'm trying for her pic). Rowan and Rosie never offer to move, probably because I ignore them unless they ping, but does it really help to try to keep a strong friendship with them (like help them move sooner) if you already have their pic? I guess it can't hurt since they really seem like they won't gtfo, and I had Ren?e, who moved in recently (and I talk to her ALL THE TIME) try to leave.
