Hello guys! My friend has a villager in boxes tomorrow that I'd love to get in my town. The thing is, my campsite will be finished tomorrow so I won't be able to get that forced villager which unlocks Nook giving me the rest of the plots. But, if I still go to my friends island, talk to their villager, will I still be able to get them to move in?

Because if not, the only way to get the villager would be if I TT or asked my friend to set their time to that same date for around 3 days total. None of which I want to do.

There's currently a glitch going around when it comes to villagers that are being forced out by the player... I recommend you don't do any villager trading until this glitch is resolved.

Oh don't worry. It's a natural villager that will be moving out by natural means. They don't even have any amiibos

Ah okay! In that case I'm not entirely sure... I know you won't have any villagers show up on your Nook Miles Islands until you get that campsite villager. You need additional plots of land in order to invite other villagers to your town, so idk if you can get a villager moving from someone else's island before you get the campsite villager :c

No shame in trying though!

Yeah I might as well. Kinda hoping the game "saves" them into the memory and makes them automatically show up after you get the 5th/campsite villager. Kinda how if you recruited 3 villagers during the beginning island trips, they'd slowly move into the 3 house plots you made for them.

The glitch seems fairly uncommon if its a natural move out but has apparently said to have happened in some cases.
